Most traditional Austrian restaurants have a very similar menu based around meat (don't go here if you are vegetarian) and the Kirchenwirt is no exception although there are a couple of interesting variations and particularly a meat based dish for two and the claim to have the largest Schnitzel in "Ennstal" (however that particular district is defined).
Meals were all freshly cooked and came well presented. Service was efficient and traditionally Austrian and at €55 for dinner for three (including drinks) very reasonably priced.
Overall a good experience, we would come back.

Gemütlichkeit und Genuss aus Tradition In unserem Gasthof trifft "Tradition auf Innovation" Wir legen sehr großen Wert auf unsere Heimat und verwöhnen Sie mit regionalen und saisonalen Gerichten.
Family owned restaurant with first class food and service. It is recommended to visit in the Schladming area (just 10 minutes by car from Planai bergbahnen).

We have been to this family run restaurants with friends during skiing. The place is in a small village, if you happen to be there, this one is practically your only choice:) The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Good local beer from the tap and some local dishes. The fish is fresh from the lake around the restaurant I'd recomend that for a choice. Very reasonable prices as well.
Would go there again, the quality of food is ok, but the place worth a visit.

We came for dinner on saturday evening. The menu is decent selection with some local specialties and seasonal dishes. The portions are decent size. We had really nice waighter that was very patient with our cranky hungry 4yo:-)
We had starter of carpacio which was nice but too thinly cut. The main of spinache dumplings with cheese sauce were delicious and surprisingly full of flavor and light. Overall very nice experience with friendly service. Two starters, two mains and two desserts total of 60 eur.

Arriving at the marvellous Schwarzensee people are so fascinated from this great view that do not go further to the cute Putzentalalm ... . Believe me it is worth going the extra mile.

Let Navi guide you till the parking lot is reached. Then you have to walk for about 10 minutes to reach Steiricher Bodensee/Gasthof Forellenhof. We first had a walk around and went up to the waterfall. Lake and surrounding area is so relaxing and beautiful. Walk around the lake is great fun and is good for Prams. The path towards the waterfall is not for prams and will require much energ. The walk from Forellenhof to waterfall and back will take about 60 minutes depending on your pace. On our return we entered the Forellenhof. Staff was very friendly and food was very delicious. Everything we ordered was just great, from soup to dessert. Only the soup was not warm enough otherwise taste was great. I guess we payed about 30 Euros per head for soup+main dish+dessert+drink (will depend on what dish you order).

Little Italian / Mexican restaurant on the edge of town. Tortellini was good, pizza wasn’t bad, and lasagne was huge and mostly cheese. My wife had a Mexican baked potato- something I never knew existed despite growing up in SoCal. Deserts were ok.
I probably would have scored it a 3 or 4 given the decent food at fair prices, but knocked off a point for their refusal to close the door to the smoking room. In face we closed it several times but the Waitstaff reopened it and left it open seemingly to spite us. And another point for not taking electronic payments - come on, its 2017 already.
Go to the Loy or head down the road for a better option.

Roland is managing the kitchen by himself. Only one more is helping for service in the restaurant. This is how a good chef operates. Good quality and always helpful for special requests. Taste and quality is just fine. One advice: after visiting dorfschmiede more then 4 years a new menu may be in place

Stopped for a quick lunch on our way to Bad Hofgastein.
1) interior is more like small pub (I think there were 3-4 tables)
2) we got immediate service and despite we were 6 people ordering 6 different meals we got them really quick
3) food itself was average - it was ok, but...
One comment on listing: pin on the map is wrongly placed, correct location is GPS 47.489715, 14.009285.

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and check it out. The atmosphere is nice and the food is decent. They also have vegan dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and the wines are from the styrian region. all in all good experience :-)
