The sandy coast of Goa is perfect for reclining by the sea. Nestle into a cushioned chair at a beach shack and savor a curry while you sip a Kingfisher beer, watching the sun slip lazily below the horizon. In Old Goa, the beautiful Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fine example of baroque architecture. Visit during Christmastime to experience a fantastic religious and cultural mash-up of East and West.

Really liked this beach shack and it quickly became our favourite. The stretch of beach doesn’t get blighted by the hawkers like other areas and the owner Danesh and his staff do everything they can to make sure your holiday is relaxed and as cared for as they can. The beer is cold and reasonably cheap and the food is good. Wife was really pleased with the massages she received from the female staff, nearly an hours massage for a fiver and a bottle of Pepsi!

The Sea/Beach facing Garden Restaurant and Bar is open from 11 am 7 pm . Pousada by the Beach is located at the end of Holiday street at Gaura Vaddo Calangute. To get to us, come to the end of the street, head to the beach, as you face the sea turn right, walk about 75 meters, through a couple of shacks and you will see a green patch, a few fishing boats and a gate flanked by two terracotta saluting Portuguese soldiers...Welcoming you. We provide Sun Bed along with an umbrella for a charge of Rs.900/-Per person, for day use .This amount can be adjusted towards consumption of food or drinks. We also provide facilities such as shower, changing rooms and toilets. We request our guests to carry their own towels.
One of the most popular restaurants in Calangute Beach and favorite hang around place for us, food is tasty and delicious, staff are friendly

Located in a quite coconut grove just 20m from the seashore behind Rococo Pelton at the southern end of Palolem beach, Ourem 88 is a small home style European restaurant set in the courtyard of our home. At Ourem 88 we endeavour to use the freshest, locally sourced seasonal produce & a variety of speciality imported produce fused with a western style of cooking to give you a tasty vibrant menu in relaxed & friendly surroundings. Our small evening bistro menu changes regularly according to seasonal availability in the market to ensure a new & exciting experience on every visit. Being a small restaurant which serves fresh home cooked food, which prides itself on quality & customer satisfaction, we are limited to the amount of tables we are able to serve in an evening. Larger tables are recommended to call in advance to check availability, Last Orders are taken at 9pm. The restaurant can also be reached via the Ourem 88 just beside Akash Travels.
We were fortunate to eat here twice during our holiday, I had booked one of the meals in November. Booking is essential as they only serve 20 people per night, and we saw a few people disappointed that they were unable to get a table.
On both occasions the food was exceptional. The portion size was very generous. We both had starters and mains on the first visit, so unfortunately didn’t have room for pudding. On the second occasion we shared a starter and pudding.
Brett made a perfect host.

Very warm welcome from the owner and staff into a cleverly and simply constructed covered arched courtyard with ceiling fans. The Mojito and Fenny (local hooch) Tail were excellent. Staff attentive but discreet. Starters were prawn spring roll, tempura prawn and fried calamari. All three...Morethank you visiting...see you soon...

We overheard someone recommending Bluebird for authentic Goan cuisine. The person said how not too many people know about this small family run restaurant.
We reached there on a Wednesday night, 20 min before they close. ( they close at 10:30pm so plan accordingly). We were a big group of 7 people. Instead of turning us back, Antonio and his family beamed huge smiles and welcomed us in.
We ordered fish cafreal, chicken zaccuti , Goa chill pork , beef , stuffed crabs and jeera potato ( a must try ). Everything came with a generous serving of rice.
The food was finger licking good. Wholesome. Highly recommend this place if you are foodie.

This cafe has been a wonderful find in our last few years of going to Candolim. The range of coffee is fantastic, my partner is a real coffee snob, so to find somewhere that he loves is a real treat. The cakes and desserts are also so tasty. The cost is not expensive. If you go , keep an eye out for the street dog that sleeps there, he likes the 30 rupee chicken pie that is sold here. Enjoy

Vegetarian and vegan café, serving healthy breakfast, brunch & lunch. Try our scrumptious (vegan) cakes. Plus: We've recently started serving delicious and wholesome dinners, with lots of creative vegan and vegetarian dishes. Besides that we have our own onsight bakery where you can buy all your little world goodies, cakes, quiches, muesli, bread and preservatives. Come and check out our quirky indoor sitting area, and the large outdoor garden, totally transformed into a play area and bohemian vibe outdoor restaurant.
It's a nice vegetarian place on the main road to Palolem beach, with great varieties and pocket friendly prices. We visited for a breakfast and returned impressed and satisfied.
The interiors are done very colourfully and the presence of a Ganesh idol at the main entry was really attractive. The Seating arrangements were also very cute with fruits shaped cushions and tempo tables etc.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
