we decided to have dessert here one night and found the place to be small and charming. I tried the chocolate cake and didn't find it very good however the walnut cake was fantastic and worth coming back for. I would have liked to try the coffee but being night i didn't want the caffeine hit! We enjoyed meeting other tourists there and would definitely go back again.

The concept behind a spot where only hunza food to serve is the mind of Mr. Lutfi Ali (Chef & Owner), also known as the founder of Hunza food. It was 1980’s when Mr. Lutfi Ali had a jeep and was affiliated with tours and expeditions and observed what tourism are attracting to or why the tourism are visiting the historical places, so why not they to attract towards Hunza Cultural Food as well, with a sudden decision he acquired a rented cabin and established a restaurant where he initiated to serve Apricot Soup and Apricot Juice. Went to Hidden Paradise with Family for dinner. the manager was courteous young guy who took time to share the details of various local specialities they prepare. the guy seemed passionate and was polite and friendly. we order doudo soup, followed by Hoi Lo garma (spinach pasta), chopshoro and lamb cooked in apricot seed oil. very nice authentic place. food was delivered warm although a little later than promised. overall the food was good specially the local drink Chammus. recommended for people who like Hunza Cuisine.

Though a bit expensive, Osho Maraka Restaurant in Serena Inn is one of the best in Hunza area. Standard of cooking is good and food is clean and hygienic, a serious issue that you face at many other places. They don't have an extravagant menu card but it is good enough and provides most popular Pakistani dishes.
The service is good. However, the best thing about the restaurant is the stunning view of Hunza valley through it's large size glass window. It's a treat having one's food with that view.

If you are travelling from Gilgit, just before you arrive into the village of Karimabad, fist off the main street on your right, there is a street where you will find Hunza Embassy Hotel, this good hotel in Karimabad. It is a short walk (10 minutes) from Karimabad village centre and 20 minutes from Baltit Fort.
Ideally located in the Hunza valley, Hunza Embassy Hotel rooms are comfortable rooms (double or single with a fan , and an attached bathroom ( hot water is always available.
Most rooms have a lovely Terrace from where you can have a look at the Hunza valley and the dramatic scenery around. Behind the hotel you will see 7,000m high Mountains on a clear day (even in July, chances are high that you will be able to see the peaks). Ask for the higher rooms as the view is much more dramatic.
Good prices food and rooms ,there is a communal dinner with the travellers staying overnight: that night, noodles soup and vegetables rice. hunza traditional food and many kind of food always available.
The hostel can also arrange treks for you if you plan to stay several days, and keep your luggage in a cloakroom while you are away.
It is best to arrive in the morning or early afternoon since that hostel is quickly full you can reservation online and telephone number.

City Inn Restaurant only known between locals as the best Pakistani restaurant in town.
Local price. Real Pakistani food. And tasty.
Another thing I am quite impressive with this restaurant is about speed in service.
You do not have to wait so long to get your food.
Normally when you go to Pakistani restaurant and order something sometimes it may take more than 30 mins just to eat some normal food although the restaurant is not crowded.A bad example is a restaurant in PTDC Skardu. The food always slow there.
A must visit restaurant if you go to Skardu!
Recommended.
PS: Restaurant actually provided menu in English.

Tasty and affordable apricot cake. When we were there, there were only 3 available that morning and we bought them all. I suppose it would be best if you could call ahead of time before passing by. You can't miss it cos it's the only building on top of a small hill on the Karakoram Highway just before Passu town. The owner is a friendly and he has a Facebook plus the restaurant. It's quite a walk up the stairs but if you're driving a jeep or a car, you could drive along the side making it less effort to get the top.
