Took the opportunity to see Saga Land the discussion around Viking history in Iceland. Richard Vidler and his Icelandic friend are polished but the theatre gives them a get back drop. Originally proposed for a smaller part of the complex the versatility of the operation...MoreThanks so much for the great feedback. Saga Land was something a bit different for us to offer and we are so grateful of everyone's support. Sounds like we'll be seeing you again soon!

Queens Park

Reviewed By Tonbou - Orange, Australia

A small but beautiful off-shoot on the northern end of Queen's Park, it contains a mixture of native and exotic trees and plants, a formal parterre garden and extensive tree-lined lawns, a fairly recent sand-stone entrance gateway / arch and a pair of granite columns that look as though they might have come from the entrance to a 19th century bank. A great place to go for horticultural ideas or to just switch the world off for a spell.

Laurel Bank Park

I think Laurel Bank is the best park in Toowoomba. The Gardens are beautiful, the grass is soft and green, there's plenty of trees to sit under and its not too hard to find a car park nearby on a Saturday morning when you want to have a coffee and a short walk. There's so mamy different parts of the park to explore.

Japanese Garden

Even though the Gardens are small, they still represent the best of traditional Japanese Gardens. The Bridges over the water area are all a similar style; and we even watched a duck walk over one of the Bridges. There are plenty of azaleas, although very few were in bloom as it is mid summer.
Definitely a place to visit

Behind a fairly plain facade lies a treasure trove. I was astounded by the range of carts, sulkies, buggies and coaches (including three Cobb & Cos), all in such good condition. As well, we were able to experience a Leonardo da Vinci exhibition which gave some idea of his creative as well as artistic genius. There are other resident Exhibitions but we did not have time for them. (I could have easily spent all day there!
We lunche d at Cobb's Coffee Shop on site and had a delightful light meal, reasonably priced.

Very helpful staff in circumstances quite trying.Pouring rain and the fact you couldn't see more than 100 metres only made things worse as we unceremoniously arrived at the top of the range.Their solution to our dilemma was very well thought out and most helpful.

Table Top Mountain

Reviewed By kaymag28 - Brisbane, Australia

Saw a few reviews saying you need a moderate degree of fitness. I personally think this is advanced.... it's a pretty hard climb. Guess it depends on your definition of levels of fitness. As soon as you start you're on a pretty steep climb, then you have to climb large rocks. It's not an easy climb, there's vertical climbs in some parts. You get to a fake peak and then climb down hill for a while.... it's a little confusing as you think you're doing something wrong... but keep going, then you get to the base of the actual mountain and it's all vertical from there. Was definitely worth it, heaps of fun, good hard climb, view from the top totally worth it! but yeh, it's certainly not easy.
