Locale a gestione familiare con un giardino interno per l'estate non mancano mai sorriso disponibilita e voglia di fare...
This was the second stop on our November Cattolica trip. L'Anfora was recommended by the hotel reception where we were staying. Good impression from the outside and quite busy with couples and family groupes. After we had been brought to our table, it was only a couple of minutes and the restaurant manager was there to take our order. We had used the italian language as best we could and the manager spoke carefully and slowly so that we could understand his explanation of several items on the menu. The drinks came quickly and we were all set for a nice evening. It did also not take too long until my wife's meal arrived. Then we waited. Very unusual for Italy. And we waited while my wife's meal got cooler. Then my vegetables arrived. And we waited. After several minutes, my wife had started her meal, the manager, having noticed our predicament, sent a waiter over who explained that it would take some minutes before my lamb was ready. Here I gave him the vegetables and asked him to keep them warm. Some minutes later the whole meal arrived, my wife had already eaten half her meal and our evening was already destroyed. My wife's meal was a local pasta speciality: not tasty, with a strange consistency. My meal was now part cool, part burnt and partly missed flavour. We must have hit a bad night. It is also frustrating when you try your best to speak their language and the waiter (not the manager) insists on using his not much better, or even worse, English.

Il Ristorante "Il Traghetto" è situato sul porto di Gabicce Mare al confine con Cattolica; il paese è un importante centro ittico marinaro che offre un ottimo pescato dell'Adriatico, vero punto di forza della cucina del Ristorante.
A small charming place near the habour in Gabicce Monte, where they serve only fish and shellfish dishes. Our waitress Nicole was a wonder of efficiency and yet very charming. The food was 100 % Italian, extremely tasty and plentiful. The suggested wine was a suitable choice and for such en excellent dinner the price was totally acceptable.

This is the epitome of "the best of the best" in seafood restaurants. Surprisingly, the prices are moderate considering the the quality, but to top that, the food is excellent as well. Interior space is vast, simply decorated with antique photographs of fishermen.
There is a long list of antipasti, but hold out for canocchie sgombri bolliti and pizza Bianca. the preparation is superb with my favourite, the cannelloni ripieni, thin crepes filled with fresh fish and seafood. My femme loved her frittura mista, fried mixed seafood done with delicacy and absolutely greaseless. We found the wines are well chosen and reasonably priced.
It will take a lot to top this experience.

usually you need a pair of piadinas to satisfy your hunger. but not here! a single piadina is filled with lots of ingredients you can chose from. and even if you are very hungry you'll get a whole meal in one dish! The service is very fast, friendly staff. suggested to friends, couples or families. suitable for vegs and vegans (not verified).

Beautiful ice cream and friendly helpful staff, especially since our Italian wasn't so good. See you next year! Ciao!

We went there for the view but got so much more. Had some communication breakdown with our reservation, so we didn't have one when we got there. The restaurant is very popular and the reservation is essential (they havent't taken new bookins for 3 days). But kindly enough a table was arranged for us. It was so easy to get to to the restaurant. You just take the little train from Cattolica to Cabicce del Monte and back (they drive until midnight - 8€ return ticket). We went earlyin order to see the sun set. Nice because we were the only ones for a long while. Since the house was full we didn't get a table from the Panorama Terrace but it didin't matter, in fact it was so enjoyable sitting inside with the nice cool AC. The view was outstanding from there too. We took the tasting menu one. Everything was delicious and beautiful. Asked for the recommodation fot the wines and they were so right with the food. The dessert trolley was "bad"! So many possibilities. The ones we took were mindblowing. I guess I have to go there again to taste the rest!

It has the best ice cream I have ever tried in my life! It's a really cute shop with all the ice creams beautifully displayed making them so mouth-watering!!! The portions that they give are so big! You are always left full after an ice cream from there which makes it great value for money. Absolutely love it!!!

very poor quality of food - veal escalopes were thick, tough and uneatable..sympathetic waitress reported to Madame who nevertheless dispensed the bill with sullen disregard to politeness or justice..a most disagreeable memory from a delightful town

I'm not going to talk about the food because it's actually HIGH QUALITY. You should come here because:
- You will spot all the Romagna's coast and the beautiful sunset on the sea.
- You won't spend much even if the view is priceless.
Amazing place!!!! Must come.
