WOW!! Everything was perfect (well, almost)..the inside of the restaraunt was warm & inviting. The drink list (in the bar, on the wall) was so exciting that I wanted one of each. The staff was accomodating and personable! We started with the Sushi ..chefs choice..interesting, creative and delicious! Then the seafood platter. Everything was really good- the extra glass jars with yummy fish mixtures was very charming. Here's where we went wrong though...the ice melted really quickly and the shellfish were soaked in ice water...okay..I know, I know..fish live in water :) But being soaked in ice water just made them..soggy :( Too bad, as everything else was so wonderful!

The biggest dilemma when going to Sylvis is what to choose. A wonderful assortment of pastries, sweets and breads as well as coffee. There is an outdoor area out the back to sit and enjoy - with a playground section for the children. We chose the nut and caramel pie - they topped it with cream, strawberries and blueberries. The caramel was incredible - felt very satisfied. A real treat. Bought more than we could possible eat in one sitting but couldn't help ourselves. Definitely worth the visit even though a little pricey.. We spent SEK 194 for 2 chocolate truffles, a meringue, the caramel tart and a berry smoothie

Decent food in a simple setting. Slight flavour of tourist trap. There are nicer places elsewhere on Fårö island.

This evening the restaurant only served pizza. They were well-prepared, the sauce on the spicy side. However they did not live up to the prices charged.

This was a totally unexpected, kind of wacko place, but a complete delight. Amidst a rabbit warren of buildings stuffed with car parts and car and celebrity memorabilia, a bunch of friendly people who look like they started life as hippies serve fantastic crepes that you can eat outside under the gaze of the nearby sheep herd. This place is not likely to be to everyone's liking, but if you're after something different (and choices are slim in this location ... we would have taken anything), this was a very fun surprise.

After a long and exhausting Kaure visit nearby we dropped in at Lauters for coffee and cakes. Lauters is a tranquil place around a ruin. Scenic with a view to sea, sheep and flowers we found peace and quiet, nice coffee, excellent cakes and we left with re-charged batteries. Later we decided to go back for dinner and stumbled into their regular barbecue night with mexican-style bar including two charming bartenders. All fine, but change the music or upgrade the loudspeakers please. All we could hear was the bass. And mexican-style bass is pretty repetitive....

Our family of five literally stumbled into this place and I must say that I probably had the best lambchops ever.
The service was impeccable.
There is also a little playground near the Terrace where our children could play while we enjoyed a glass of wine and the view over the nearby cove. Highly recommendable.

Wonderful to get a very nice meal in a very popular but quite remote area as Fårö , particularly at this off-season time. We had a lovely dinner; lamb casserole with plums, fried bread and goat-cheese cream. A variety of local beers from the micro in-house brewery was available. The proposed choice by the waitress turned out to fit the dish very well.
A very nice experience on a September Sunday evening in a nice place with good food and good service!
