Since 1992 an experience on a higher lvel: not only because of the restaurant being on the second floor. Taste the Polder in the authentic kitchen using only fresh, local products in the season.
This restaurant is located on the first floor, right above a Chinese restaurant. You'll have to take the lift to get there. It doesn't look attractive from the outside, to say the least. Once you come upstairs, the restaurant itself is very nice and cosy.
We really liked the food. Portions are huge and price/quality is excellent. Good wine selection, too. And friendly service.

Great little restaurant ...
After my company spent some time in this place they wrote the Menu in English for us !! Now the English menu is available for all ...
The tapas menu changes reguarly and there is plenty to choose from at reasonable prices ...
Many of the dishes had a dutch twist on them but its all good .. you won't be disapointed ...

Randomly came across this place after a series of coincidences. I am so glad we did!
It was one of the finest Italian meals my partner and I have had.
Great beef steak specials and the Valpolicella is one of the finest we have had.
The owner takes great pride in his restaurant which has pictures if his Sicilian family on the wall.
It is a great experience if you like fine home cooking Italian food and larger than life characters.

Looking for a Chinese restaurant while touring the Noord Oost Polder, we came upon this restaurant. It has been there since 1975, still run by the same family, the grandson receives the guests in the restaurant, I think the son is still managing the restaurant.
The taste is quite OK, that was a pleasant surprised because we didn't expect this in a place with so little ethnic Chinese people. They have a team of 4 cooks from Guangdong Province, PRC, so real Cantonese dishes. How they serve their food is partly adjusted to accommodate the Dutch taste, meaning the Peking Duck is served boneless (they only make Peking Duck as is meant for themselves) because the Dutch hate bones in their duck, steamed fish is cooked using filets, so no fish bones to worry about (but Chinese people very much like these for the taste). The taste of the dishes though is no adaptation to the Dutch taste as opposed to many others in places where there are almost no ethnic Chinese.

When we arrived we were greeted nicely and were sat right away. Once we place our order that's when it went down hill. It took over an hour and 15 min to get our food. The food was ok, I had better from a fast food place. I live in Germany so I am used to dinner taking awhile but this was horrible. Will never go back and would not recommend this to anyone.

Brasserie in de winkelstraat. Basic interieur, vriendelijke bediening. Zeer betaalbaar. Enkel gelunched, broodjes, slaatje, kindermenu genomen. Niet echt slecht, maar verre van speciaal. Geen schuimwijn op de kaart, witte wijn is drinkbaar.
Prijs-kwaliteit aanvaardbaar.

Couldn't thank the people at Plaza 6 enough, I went with my boyfriend at the beginning of December and I was not disappointed! So much amazing quality food, wide choice of delicious desserts friendly staff and the stirfy chefs were so talented! Will definitely be going back next time I'm in The Netherlands!

We loved our dinner at this Greek restaurant. A hidden gem in a side street of the busy shopping street. The street is even called 'Achterom', which translates into a street around the back. The staff was super friendly and put a smile on our faces and yummy food in our bellies. Would revisit! The upstairs part does not require a lot of effort. There is an elevator if you don't wish to go on the (steep!) stairs.

The restaurant at the Van Der Valk Hotel was very strange. The chefs certain put some effort into the dishes, but managed to ignore the less is more mantra and put far too many ingredients together. The starter, calves cheek, was pleasant although slightly overcooked. But quite what a chunk of undercooked red pepper was doing in the mash was anyone's guess. Similarly the sole: nicely cooked fish, decent chips. But with added potato and fish fingers? (I thought at one point they had given me an additional child's menu by mistake!) similarly dessert: decent panna cotta, topped by far too bitter passion fruit jelly.
A restaurant in need of some refinement.

Zeer attente bediening, vriendelijke eigenaresse.
Schoon sanitair.
