Characterized by its excellent product choice, the chef turns plates into a healthy yet sometimes surprising expression. We really enjoyed our stay here, even if the service - driven by Mrs Martin but performed by not-so-experienced personnel - was not up to the same expectations. Nonetheless: a very good cuisine, cosy atmosphere and friendly people.

We went in early on a friday night. The place was full only one small table was free. We got 2 wines each and some cheeses and a truffel sausage. All was great. And the wines were exactly what i wanted: off the breaten track. The owner does a great Job! Will be back there on my next visit to Namur.

I have been to Chez Louis regularly over the years, its a decent address, generally pretty good food, lovely summer Terrace for a tête-à-tête, and a quirky 'well' inside the restaurant covered with glass, alongside a convenient seafood counter in the winter, and it seems a place that a lot of local business gets done .
But recently it seems to be slipping on and service front, it's not bad, but not good.
Now the food itself;
Holbein steak, aged 8wks cooked 'blue' was fabulously tasty(33E), but the creme brulee(faire maison apparently...) was anything but the level of creamyness and taste you would expect, even the crack was a little on the disappointing side, more an industrial taste unfortunately
Missed out the consistency I would expect at this price range. However I will keep going back, particularly for the 'lunch' menu which if you arrive at midday is good value, just watch for the service....

it's precious to have such fine Chinese restaurant in Belgium, a small village. The chefs are originally from Hong Kong - they know how to cook!
The food is a bit traditional and "fusion" - the taste has been adjusted to local customers but it is definitely well done. Just order the basic Chinese dishes, and you can tell the difference from other bad Chinese restaurants.
Good value for price, great potion.
