The interior of this fine Gothic church is crowned with a painted vault, extremely rare in Gothic churches. The huge west tower has a wonderful stained glass rose window, worth the effort alone of visiting just to see this one feature. Sadly, the crypt was closed when we were there, apparently it was filled up during the construction of the gothic church and only rediscovered in 1906.
Huy must be one of the very few cities to advertise its nuclear power station as a tourist attraction! Play it safe and see this lovely church instead.

When I decided to visit Belgium, I was determined to visit some of the country’s chateaus. Chateau Modave was my favorite chateau that we visited. Absolutely beautiful.
Prior to your visit, I would recommend contacting the chateau to confirm days and hours of operation.
Highly recommended!

The facilities of this golf club are very good. The locker and shower rooms are just perfect. No need to bring towels if you wish to take a shower there. Very nice and clean locker rooms. The course itself is still very young. Not a lot of trees and plantation still young but we liked it. The thing that we regret is that we were never informed about the fact that the use of trolleys was forbidden on this course. Nor at the time of Tee-reservation, nor at check-in for the game, we were informed. We only discovered this on the course itself which was quite unpleasant because we brought heavy leather cart bags that we needed to carry … a pity if you have a carry on bag in your garage. So, next time we will check this before going there.
We also have the impression that the golf rules are not really inspected. During our game, a golfer passed us in the middle of a hole. All of the sudden his ball was flying over our head…… talking about safety rules…. When we told this to the marshall , his response was 'on connait le personnage', meaning 'we know this person'…. ok , but what about the safety of the golfers???
Apart from this small episode we had a lovely game and I was not sure that I should mention this but I did it anyway.
The club house upon arrival after the game is wonderful. We only had a drink but saw a lot of people having a late lunch there and it all looked very tasty. Many locals seem to go there for lunch even as non-golfers. I would like to go back in the spring time when the weather is good. Now the course was quite wet and muddy, the Terrace of the club house was closed. I think I need to go back when the sun shines.

A lovely historical place with amazing views from different aspects along the way. There are some lovely forested sections up the top. Unfortunately a lot of it is sectioned off for construction work.

We enjoyed a very nice quad tour in the Ardennes region. Larger groups are possible and also bicycle tours. French speaking is recommended but very friendly staff.

Le sujet de ce musée est unique dans la région et mériterait d'être traité comme un grand musée. Pourtant, ce petit musée se donne les moyens d'agrémenter la saison par des expositions, des ateliers vivants.
