this resto is serving no-nonsens food in what one can call an oasis of peace and rest close to Brussels. we enjoyed our apero with "apero fingertips". We were 4 and had steack, moules and pasta with seafood.Everything was well prepared and this in a real cosy and quiet country-side resto. Our bill was about 140 euro for 4 including apero "with finger tips" main course, 1 bottle of house wine and water.
To conclude : honest food with a good priceand in a very nice surrounding. So do not hesitate to go there and enjoy. They also serve good belgian beers. On can sit outside aswell.

Last week I was in this restaurant with my 2 collegues. A reservation is highly recommended. I had the entrecote steak which was of excellent quality with fries. I have had better fries (frites). For a restaurant in Belgium this should be a simple dish. The second remark was the sauce that was recommended with the stake, good sauce, but a good steak shouldn't need a sauce. Our wine choice was the The Sol fa Sol wine, which was very good!

Nice dish prepared with fresh products, tasty but the menu is prepared without any 'risk' (taste association)
service is correct and professional
personally, the proposed wines are a bit too expensive for that type of restaurant.
I need to point out a negative point...the restroom were not....

Very good and personal service, good quality food, but my partner and I couldn't understand why it has received a Michelin star. Nothing special. Except for the price: too high. Correction: the food is too expensive, the wine by the glass is not. They don't offer a set menu for the evening, so you are obliged to take à la carte, which is always more expensive.

This place is one of the friendliest I have been to in the area. I appreciated the kind and warm welcome of the person who I believe must be the owner. I also appreciated the originality of the starters, which was a bit different from what I am used to in other Belgian food restaurants. I was not entirely satisfied with my main course but that was my fault for trying something I do not normally eat. The rest of my family was fully satisfied with all their courses. We will certainly come back.

Called on a Saturday evening - it was around 6.00pm and we hadn't made a reservation. Although it was quiet at that time, the waiter advised us that the "better" tables at the back in the Terrace were all reserved. We were given a smaller table just opposite the entrance to the loos. We noticed most diners didn't arrive until we had finished and we were about to leave Apart from that, the waiters were jolly, efficient and humourous. The menu is limited but the food is good and the prices reasonable. There's a small selection of draft beers and a large selection of bottles. We had a main course each and two drinks each. The special Spijtigenburger was large and v tasty. Overall a pleasant evening - we'll be back.

The interior, old brasserie style, is amazing.
The menu is limited (menu 35€) and suggestions on the blackboard propose the Chef's inspiration of the day. Food is delicious varying from French classics to original fusion-like taste combinations. Yet get quality product with great taste but price/quality ratio is NOK if you opt for the basic dishes.

Belgium is synonymous with good food and good beer. So why not combine both?
You will see A LOT of locals here (always a sign of quality) , enjoying the very best of our cuisine, evergreens like decent steaks, succulent sauces, etc etc.etc
It has a real homely and friendly atmosphere as it is a kind of family business. So it is stylishly relaxed but not posh.
Groups of 10 can visit the brewery, but from their shop and 'degustation' room you can see the enormous vats. Nice garden too.

We had a nice saturdaynight dinner with our kids (22 and 25 old, kids?) We enjoyed our evening thanks to the friendly owners. But sitting near an open door near a busy crossroad has some downsides. The "house aperitif" is some bubbles with Cointreau. I would not recommend it.
The starters were excellent: scampi "of the house" and mixed antipasti. I really enjoyed the latter. Real Italian feeling : simple but very tasteful.
As a main course we had pizzas (rich and crispy as expected), veal with mushrooms (full of flavours but a litte salty) and an outstanding tuna fish steak with capers and olives.
We enjoyed the meal but having only the house wine and some cokes, 80€ pp is overrated.

In this hidden gem, behind what looks like another kebab junk, you'll find the cosiest moroccan couscous restaurant in town. Couscous and tajines absolutely delicious, the meat is always melting in your mouth. I've been there many times, and only today tried the chicken/raisins one, is a delight. No frill yet friendly staff, you feel this is a family well oberlooked business.
