We ordered 1 large and 1 medium white thin crust pizza last Friday night. We were told to pick it up at 6:20. I got there just before 6:20 and was told it would be about another 5 minutes. Fifteen minutes later I was told they were just waiting on the medium pizza. (Did that mean my large was put on to early?) My order was finally ready at 6:40. Twenty minutes after they were supposed to be ready. We had company so I quickly paid and rushed home with dinner. Both pizzas were wrong. They had thick crust and pizza sauce instead of garlic sauce. The toppings were scarce, I tried calling to tell them the order was wrong but couldn't get through. My guest were hungry so we ended up eating the pizza. This is the 2nd time in a row that our order was completely wrong. Never again.

Went camping here with my family and another family of friends last July. The camp ground was clean, there was plenty of this for the kids to do including some programming and play ground and hate rides. Staff there were friendly and helpful. The beach...MoreThank you for your review...so glad you and your family had a great time . See you all again this summer !!!

Right at the main intersection downtown, the restaurant has a small front but there is plenty of Seating as it runs deep. Settle your bill with cash only. A number of daily specials at reasonable prices with modest sized portions of basic food. The service is friendly and fast. The washrooms are tiny. The tin ceiling is rather impressive.

This place was recommended to us by some locals as a nice place to get some home-made lunch. It is in a beautiful old building with lots of character, high ceilings and interesting decor based on the history of the area. When we arrived about two, the place was still quite crowded with customers but it is very large so there was lots of space.
We sat near the open kitchen at the back and our orders were taken right away. Two BLT"s and an order of spinach crepes. We received our waters right away, and then we sat there for 45 minutes, waiting, and waiting as three other orders came out. Of the four staff in the area, three were filling jam jars, cleaning up etc, while one chef prepared the orders, moving slow but steady, even making the toast themselves. This strikes me as poor organization. I don't mind waiting for freshly prepared food, but an assistant to the cook would really speed things up, and it gets hard to take when you are just sitting there, watching it happen in slow motion. Just as we were about to give up hope, the food came....and it was delicious.
Super good BLT with very fresh 9 grain bread made on the premises. Lots of nice bacon, lettuce, and tomato., with a generous portion of home fires. The crepe was delicious as well.
So in the end, if we are back in Dunnville wanting lunch, I think we may try it again. As long as we have plenty of time to wait.

Great spot. Wonderful, friendly service. Food was well made, tasty and generous proportions. My only complaint. Four visits and I would run out of choices. Fish is the primary offering. Breaded (I think Panko.Note, I think) and deep fried. I find that delicate fish like Perch and Walleye lend themselves more to lighter coatings. Would one serve a nice piece of sole in a corn flake coating? I think not. As I say, The Thirsty Mate is everything it purports to be, a delightful destination for a sunny afternoon on the Grand, looking at boats that most of us can't afford. High points, great coleslaw and a super sticky toffee pudding! Oh yeah great, and I mean great service!

We stopped at The Minga for coffee today- well I had coffee (excellent) and the rest of my group had iced tea or lemonade (both homemade).
The atmosphere is very comfortable; we sat in the back and enjoyed a relaxed time. All the patrons were really pleasant.
For reasons I can't explain, there was someone in the back demonstrating virtual reality games with an invitation to try, and we had such a great time doing that. A really unexpectedly nice afternoon!
The Minga is clean and friendly; everything we had there was excellent and the food smelled great.
I am the kind of person who considers bacon and Redbull a meal, and who acts like other people are invisible on the train, so this is not "my kind of place". Rather, I'd say that this is everyone's kind of place. Highly recommended!

General Store and Restaurant. Country Atmosphere. Worth the trip for home-style cooking. All-day Breakfast and weeknight/weekend specials.
We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and it wasn't very busy. The service was very friendly and the place very clean. The prices are decent and the food is locally sourced. I had the ham and cheese omelet which had big pieces of real ham and was really good. My wife had bacon and eggs and the bacon was excellent. She had the coffee which she said was good too. If I had a complaint it would be about the toast as they use normal bread and not thicker Texas style. We would go back again for sure.

The Queens Merritt Room isn't just about delicious food and cold beer, it's about giving you an experience that brings you back in time. Our pub has 132 year old tin ceilings, brick walls, and a wooden bar. Our dining room gives an old Victorian feel with a warm fireplace, an over 100 year old wall unit, and old photos of the building. There is history all over... if only walls could talk! By the way, if you like ghost stories, we've got lots of them. Stop in and we will chat!
We have been to this restaurant twice in the last month, and have not been disappointed either time. First visit was for lunch and we had their Western which was good portion, and tasty for the price. Second visit was during the Mudcat Festival, and we enjoyed the Perch Dinner. More than enough fish and side dishes for this meal and also priced well. We won't hesitate to go back, 3rd times a charm and looking forward to their prime rib dinner.
