The Backstube is very well located just beside the main plaza of Coroico. They have a beautiful Terrace with a gorgeous view.
The pepper steak with Spätzle (60B) was excellent.
The Kässpätzle (German noodles with cheese, 45B) had far too little cheese (only one layer on the top) and far too much pepper (burning away my mouth).
The cheesecake (13B) was dry and tasteless.
If all the food had been convincing, the prices would have been alright. They are higher than in other restaurants.

We had to wait 10 minutes before we got any attention. When not responding fast enough on what to drink he left our table before we decided so we didn't get anything to drink. The food was average Mexican, nothing special.
Prices are 4 Times' more that the local options.

El Cafetal offers great quality food with an amazing view. They are on the pricier side but so is every decent restaurant in Coroico. The steak and lasagna were cooked to perfection. The bread and crepes were delicious as well! The chef even came out to check on us (we went at a slow time) and to make sure the food was cooked to our liking. This restaurant is up to the quality of the best international restaurants in La Paz.

Just spent one night staying in Villa Bonita (it has some accommodations aswell as a restaurant) and highly recommend it. The accommodations are basic, adequate, but not expensive and the whole place has a very relaxing chilled out atmosphere. Its only 10 min walk from the plaza also so not too out of the way if yu need to go and get stuff.
The restaurant is very good, we are veggies so obviously better for us but there were plenty of meat eaters that were eating there that thought it was good also. Tried the fresh home made pasta, veggie burgers and the falafel (on day menu) and all was very good. The ice cream seems to be famous in the area and there was a regular stream of locals coming in to buy it - it is very good and a must try. Home made bread and marmalades are also good.
If wanting to stay in the hotel book ahead as it gets full as there arent many rooms. The restaurant is closed Mon and Tue.

Cafe restaurant close to the Plaza, going down the steps at banco Fie. Large variety of home made food, including a kids menu, but also a nice place to relax a while in the garden setting with hammocks and nice views. Book exchange, games, tourist information, maps for walking, free wifi, sometimes live music in the evening and more....
Came here twice, once for tea time once for dinner. I saw spaghetti pesto because didnt have it during travelling. Was so happy afterwards, really tasty. The salad was also made with passion. The cake and fruitsalad incl jugo we had the other afternoon were very fresh and delicious. Best of all, the service, lovely and helpful owner. Atmosphere is great, so almost forget that wifi is available. Not that cheap but definitely good value for money, recommended.

Handmade gnoochi, spaghetti, ravioli and taglatelle with your choice of pesto or the four cheeses sauce. There’re also an assorted types of pizza to choose from. You can also order them to go. All delicious! Cozy little restaurant like others have commented already. We meant to go to Carla’s Pub but there were too many very steep steps for us and this was recommended by one of the locals.

Italian Food, Organic Coffee, cakes, juices
We were able to visit the coffee plantation where M&M's coffee is actually grown, harvested, and roasted. What a unique and educational experience! Mauro, the owner, and his staff were so kind, friendly, and informative. We learned so much, and got to enjoy some delicious coffee and fresh fruit from the plantation to finish up the day.

This place only has 2 tables and is out of the way from the plaza but the food was really lovely. I had the quinoa burger (I'm definitely not a vego) but this was great with really fresh bread, salad and quinoa patty. The pappas fritas seemed to be lightly fried and had rosemary with it (finally some taste). My wife had a fantastic chicken breast with tomato salsa that had been cooked in white wine. Both our meals were lovely, well presented, good value and lovely host.

We were staying at hostel kory and spent time in restaurant de los andes.
The all round winows with the most amazing mountain views are enough to begin with but nick and his wife who run the restaurant are the most welcoming and helpful hosts. Nick takes such a pride in the sources and ingredients they use and in fact my husband said this was the best coffee he has had in Bolivia.
Breakfast was wonderful with lots of different choices.
The restaurant is only open during the day and this is when the views are so compelling.
