I had to walk through some unsavoury streets, and turn down a number of propositions in order to get to this establishment from the Ibis Hotel, but it was worth it. Full of locals, even on a Tuesday. The service might charitably be described as unhurried (although I did arrive shortly after a large party) but the food was exceptionally good.
I like Greek food, and I've never had it better than this.

The restaurant doesn't look like much from the street, not even inside, but the true value is hidden underneath. The owner/server in single person provides incredible customer care even though he speaks only basic English so our interaction was somewhat limited. Even despite that, he was able to make me feel welcomed like a guest to his family table. The food is very tasty, not the usual "one spice for all" taste of the typical Chinese fast food. The meals are fresh, delicate and abundant in size.
To top it all, the value is incredible. You can order from a rich variety of separate meals or a couple of matched 3 course menus some of which are available already at about 15 EUR.

The restaurant was recommended by the Hotel manager while in a business trip in Charleroi. This is not a tourist town. I had to wait for a couple of minutes, the place was full.
Great french food, excellent wines and reasonable prices. The service was outstanding. I came back to this cozy restaurant both nights for a great dinner. You are going to love this place.

Whenever flying in or out of Belgium with Ryanair we stop off for a pleasant meal here. The Staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and eventhough Ransart is a very small town the restaurant has a cosmopolitan feel and would make an absolute fortune if it was in a big city. A pleasure I look forward to every time.

What a place! Old 'maison de maitre' full of style and charme. The place is like their cuisine. A masterpiece. I really encourage anyone to go there and enjoy a beautiful evening. The menu is changing very regularly and the wine card is awesome.

We stopped by this restaurant while travelling from France to Germany. It is mid-way between Paris and the Rhine area (Cologne). While travelling through Belgium, the question is always where to stop - stay away from the motorway canteens and venture for some really good food instead!
Just minutes away from the E19 motorway, you'll be enchanted by this small rural town with this extraordinary restaurant just in the center. Reception is just plein friendly and competent, and you feel at home immediately.
The entry menue is at € 35,- which is all you need for a quality lunch. Before the meal, you are served small "amuse-bouche", so there is no long time waiting for the next course. We particularly remember the juicy duck as a main course, and the pear-jelly with blue cheese for desert ....
The wine card is very well made- this time we chose bottle from Argentina, but they have plenty of very nice French wine also.
Side note for bread: the waiter came up with a cart full of bread and served it warm - just like cheese would be served. Very nice!
Side note for reception: Friendly, welcoming - this is what you want for a quality lunch break!
We have spent a nice 2,5 H for exquisite lunch in this restaurant - and can only recommend it for travellers going from France to Germany.
Living in Paris, we can only recommend Paris restaurants to have a look at the Belgium quality and hospitality: If you can do as good as they do, we would eat out in Paris more often!
Thumbs up to this Belgium restaurant!

Invited by a colleague we visited this restaurant. They present themselves as a restaurant with local food but you don't have to panic, they alsof serve the typical french cuisine. They have no fix menu (depending on the chef) which confirms the freshness of his food.

We arrived in the area with time to eat before returning our hire car to the airport. We found this Italian restaurant by chance, and we're not disappointed. Good, if not fluent, English was also spoken, which was a bonus! It is also very good value for the quality. An obvious favourite with the locals, which is always a good sign. We arrived 5 minutes after it opened, and within 20 minutes there were several tables occupied even though it was only 6 30pm.

Quel plaisir pour mon épouse et moi d'y retourner. Elle qui il y a quelques années d'ici n'aimait pas la cuisine asiatique. Depuis notre première entrée dans ce restaurant, elle a changé d'avis.
