Bolpur-Santiniketan is a municipality and headquarters of Bolpur subdivision in Birbhum District in the state of West Bengal, India. It is 145 km north of Kolkata and is best known for its proximity to Visva Bharati, the university set up by the Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore. Given its proximity to Santiniketan and Sriniketan, it is one of the seats of culture and education in West Bengal.

The full name is Bonolakshmi Unmesh Society. The location is around 10km away from Bolpur. It is little difficult to find this place as there is no sign board on main road.
They have boarding facilities. For boarding guest they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. But for outside guest they only serve lunch. It is always good to inform them in advance about the lunch booking.
By Rs100 one can get a veg thali. Fish and meat also can be ordered. Most of the food prepared by local village women and the food is really testy and cheap.
They also have a shop from where you can buy handloom dresses. Pickles and other home made food are also available there.

This is one of the better places to enjoy indo-Chinese food. I was disappointed this time when I had buffet lunch as they have removed the chicken dumplings. Apart from it the food is really good. The items have not changed much and they should add new items as well.
Staff is very nice, the place is neat and clean. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is located close to the DreamPlex Mall and offer good indian food. However, the interior are very poorly lit with blue colored light quite dominant. It gives a feel of very low grade restaurant. Its better to order take away from the restaurant as dinning there dosen't gives good feel.

It located near BITM College on the Illambazar Road. It serves good quality foods at affordable prices.The dishes have not have much varieties though but taste is good.

On 30th June we three friends visited Shantiniketan. After a 4 hours drive we reached there at 1.30 p.m. The resort is in the Ilambazar Road & just on the junction road to enter into the Bolpur town. We took one AC Cottage & it was just beautiful. There were 2 rooms , one with two double bedded and another with a sofa with centre table. Room service was very good. The ambience of the restaurant was outstanding. The food was just superb. We enjoyed a lot there.

Well Known multi cuisine restaurant at proper Burdwan. specially for Kababs & Biriyani. Décor quite decent with wooden works. A complete family restaurant with great service. Must eat Leg Kababs, Chelo kabab. But Chinese also mouthwatering. Cozy sofa for chilout with friends. Value for money.

I must say its a heaven for foodies at our Burdawan. Nice atmosphere, toooo good food and hats off to the service, really unbelievable and of course worth going there. I will definitely recommend all the viewers please visit Mainak whenever you are looking for a Hangout. Starting from mocktails, they are really fab. Moving on to starters, we had awesome Leg kabab, looking too good, test mouthwatering. Then i went on to my favorite Paneer Jalfrezi (which was good as usual) and Navratan Polao. USP is they used fresh own make soft moist paneer. But the show stealer of the day was my friend’s Chelo kabab, served with three types of different soft juicy kababs. We finished off with a Tooty Fruity. Really show stopper.
