Been there during a job meeting, I have tasted lots of things from the menu, which is tipically veracruzan. Everything was tasto and well prepared, staff people are kind and the setting is also very nice.

Really Nice French Restaurant in Boca del Rio. I was there for a lunch with my family and these permit me to try almost all the kind of foods served.
I personally tried Atùn a la Diabla with my brother, my father a Steak and my mum a Crepe.
The Tuna was really really good, fresh and of the best quality. Also the steak was really soft. Finally the crepe: what can I say...I thought to be in France!
Conclusion of the Dinner with amazing Crepes à la Nutella!
Only two words: Excellent Restaurant!!!

I went there since it was rated relatively high in Trip Advisor.
However, the restaurant was not persuading at all. Food and service were poor. I also had cold since on a cold day, they were not able to take out air condition.
First of all, the service was not coordinated. The dishes did not come at the same time.
The mushrooms with garlic did not taste well. They were from the tin (although the waiter denied).
The spaghettis were not sufficiently cocked as well the vegetables.
Service was unfriendly and sloppy.
Restaurant is rather an italian chain fast food place than a nice place.
It was disappointing in every aspect.

The combination of quality and experience offered at El Gaucho Restaurant and a unique view of the Bay of Veracruz combine to create Mardel. The restaurant offers seafood specialties, argentinean grill and internationally influenced dishes with local and traditional roots.
I was walking along the coast side in Veracruz, looking for someplace to have a hearthy breakfast, put the "palapas" around the Aquarium are very awful, then i found Mardel... it barley goes noticed because it has a very little sign, but as you are entering you can feel that you are in a different place; the decoration is great, the service is attentive, and the food is not out of this world but great for the city's standards, and if you add the seaview, the good quality and the overall cleaness you have a great place to have a good breakfast and to relax while enjoying it, totally recommended!

This is a Brazilian Churrascaria with all you can eat grilled beef/chicken/turkey/liver, ..etc. The staff are very friendly. They also speak English which is a BIG plus is you don't speak Spanish like me :)
There is also a buffet with lots of options including a huge selection of salads.
