Although the name suggests otherwise, the Blue Mountains is an actual town in Grey County that consists of several small communities including Thornbury, Christie Beach, Clarksburg, Heathcote and Ravenna. The area is very picturesque and scenic in the summer months and during "apple season" in the autumn, but the town is most famous for its mountains. Tourists flock to Intrawest's Blue Mountain Ski Resort year-round for its wide array of offerings. If you aren't in the mood for skiing or snowboarding, take a stroll through Blue Mountain Village and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes or a meal in one of the many restaurants located in the village.

We ate here the other night and weren't as impressed as other times we have been here. Granted it was a very busy Friday night in high season but they should have anticipated that and had way more staff on. The host wasn't at their station and there was a line up. Our server took forever between courses and never once asked us how our dinners were. My panko covered salmon was cold and over cooked and the portion was so small. I had the Winterfixe dinner - 3 courses. I started with a lovely pear and watercress salad that was perfectly tossed in a light vinaigrette. I had difficulty finding my rice pudding under all the marshmallows and chocolate sauce in the dessert, in fact I don't think they put the pudding in. My husband liked his on site smoked back ribs, served with absolutely delicious corn bread. Our friend said his steak was great and the truffle fries are truly amazing. Our other guest said that the chicken was ok. Maybe I should have ordered off the regular menu. They were quite gracious and apologetic when I discussed my disappointment but it was a little late. We'll try here again as we love the atmosphere and have had better meals here before.

A re-creation of a two-storey courtyard setting that lies between ancient Corinthian ruins encompassing our three intimate dining rooms.
The restaurants are always crowded on a weekend....and this was no different. We had to wait for 30 minutes for a table on Friday evening. The food was enjoyable....we had Saganaki (Opa!) and Souvalki. Comforting food. The atmosphere was lively, noisy, and had live entertainment (belly dancer). Not a bad evening.

came in when there was no one else visiting. Lauren took care of us and was very polite and helpful. Had the steak frites but it was a little salty. Wife had the chicken and pasta, which was excellently prepared with a hint of truffle. My kids had burgers, and fries. The boys devoured the fries (also a hint of truffle) as my youngest even said it was better than mcdonalds (which is high praise from a 10 yr old). Didn't try any of the alcohol because we had a long drive ahead. However the bar looked extensive with casamigos tequilas, and some excellent ports, and everything in between. will definitely return

Sunset Grill is a California-style breakfast house with a warm and friendly community atmosphere. Sunset Grill features fresh grilled breakfast and lunch in an open kitchen concept. It’s a great place to bring the whole family or kick off your day before golfing, mountain biking, skiing or going for a leisurely walk. We will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
We recently visited the restaurant for breakfast during a stay in the Blue Mountains. We were already familiar with other Sunset Grill restaurants so this was an obvious choice for us to visit. After being seated at a small table for 2... the manager I presume (The guy with the bacon and egg sneakers) came over before we did sit down and offered to move us to another spot. We waited a few minutes and he juggled us into another table. Above and beyond!!!! And to customers who get frustrated with the wait... take it easy on the hostesses they are doing their best. Be Kind. Would go back time and time again

Authentic espresso bar bakery with a vibrant open air cafe atmosphere & latte art in every cup! Great weekly roasted coffee & made fresh to order sandwiches. Great fresh baked in house pastries including famous cinnamon rolls & flaky butter croissants. Great place to catch the game on HD flat screens.
The line for Starbucks is out the door - don't bother! Check out this great little local coffee shop. Truly the best cappuccino I've ever had. I've been coming here for years, and though it has changed a little in that time (decor and food offerings), it is still an awesome coffee shop, always served by friendly staff.

Tuesday thru Sunday. Serving Lunch and dinner from 11:30 to closing. Later on weekends July and August open daily from 11:30 to close
Came here after a day at Blue Mountain - very hungry and really for some warmth. Our server was very pleasant and chatty. We ordered pizza and a charcuterie board and both were absolutely incredible. The honey used for the charcuterie board is apparently made by a relative of the owner/ an employee and we would have bought a jar if possible! The only downfall was that I wished we were seated on the top floor rather than the ground - just a preference but it would have been nice to choose as there were many empty spots upstairs. My friend left her phone and they tracked my number down through the reservation to notify us as well which was much appreciated. I will definitely return after any Blue Mountain trip :)

A popular family owned Gastropub set in the quaint village of Thornbury, Ontario. We are featured regularly on The Food Network's "You Gotta Eat Here!" Folks come for miles to enjoy Chef Rob Lussier's culinary delights, over 900 whiskies in Stephanie's Whisky Bar, and our impeccable service with seasoned waiters. All this nestled into our circa 1875 house with a welcoming and cozy ambience. Reservations highly recommended.
This is a favourite place with "stoatin fairn" - great food! Our lunch order consisted of their beef burger along with the soup of the day and the shepherd's pie with a side Ceasar. The wait staff was courteous, attentive, and efficient without being intrusive. Excellent. The lunch arrived nice and hot. The soup of the day which was a combination of root vegetables with bacon was perfect for a cold afternoon. The burger came with all of the needed condiments served in individual small cups, so you could dress your burger the way you wanted it. Every restaurant should do this. The burger was delicious char-broiled lean beef on a fresh soft Kaiser roll with fresh lettuce, onion and tomato. Perfection. The onion rings were crisp, fresh and a nice addition. The shepherd's pie was piping hot, and wonderfully tasty while the Caesar salad was fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing. All in all a very enjoyable luncheon. Slainte mhath!

Cavernous dining space with not enough staff.
First time we went, we were the only customers in this large dining area. The patio was not open due to inclement weather. The food was interesting and good and the portions were generous.
On our return visit, at 5:30 P.M. on Thrusday, the staff would not seat us because of sta

The Cheese Gallery is a gourmet cheese shop that features cheeses from Ontario, Canada and around the world. Highlighting local artists that work in a variety of mediums, we offer a unique experience. Enjoy our Cheese Tasting Plate for 2 at the bar paired with a local wine from Georgian Hills or Coffin Ridge. Our lounge offers cozy chairs to sip tea, and enjoy a fresh croissant.
This place was highly recommended for butter tarts. Our American friends had never heard of them. If you are Canadian, that is shocking. The venue has a bakery/ café at the front and numerous cheeses near the back. Also knick knack type things. So, the butter tarts were a bit disappointing as they were cold. We ate much better ones elsewhere. Still a lovely place.
