She is cooking in a regular non professional kitchen attached to the "restaurant"
It is the dining place of the guesthouse. So
not truly a restaurant, but the food is reasonable and well presented
Limited in choices, and probably a few dishes are reheated out of the fridge (she couldn't grill my chicken from raw so fast)
Depending how many guests there are, it may take sometime for her to prepare the food
Took a tomato soup, a grilled chicken salad and the apple pie... I liked all the three
Again, if your expectation is to be in someone else house and she is preparing the food for you, you won't be disappointed
It is also rather inexpensive for Icelandic standard (except 1250ISK for an apple pie)

This is a nice place for a simple lunch on the way around Iceland. The desserts are delicious and we ate on the Terrace.

In the otherwise boring village of Blönduós, there is a charming old village center tucked away from the ring road of Iceland. It boasts of a few hidden gems such as the Lion of the North café.
The cafe doubles as a museum on a local boy who was an active house builder until he retired as an old man, then changed his name to the Lion of the North and started painting naivist paintings with Exhibitions all over the country. He became a popular sight with his immense white mane, always impeccably dressed as a gentleman from olden times.
This is the place for a coffee and a twisted doughnut only 200 meters from the Reykjavik-Akureyri main road, competing favorably with the touristy establishments elsewhere on this long travel leg.
It is run by a relative of the grand old man who is quite willing to accompany your guitar on his piano. This really is an out of the ordinary café which is certainly not catering to mass traffic.

In our nordic cuisine we like to present key ingredients from local sources. Over the summertime we grow our own vegetables and herbs. We explain Nordic culture and good raw ingredients for cooking to our guests and we offer them an insight into our daily Nordic lifestyle. Table d'hôtes d'Islanda. La Signora Inga Elsa è una cuoca eccezionale. Una cena di tre portate semplicemente divina servita alla grande tavola di famiglia con vista stupenda sul mare e condivisa con gli altri commensali. Ogni piatto, assolutamente islandese, spiegato nei minimi particolari. Pietanze preparate con amore e passione e magistralmente impiattate. Pesce cotto alla perfezione. Dessert indimenticabile. IMPERDIBILE!

We were passing through Blonduos and stopped to have dinner here. The prices were more reasonable compared what we have experienced elsewhere in Iceland. The food was decent. The wait staff was friendly and personal. A pleasant dining experience, although the building is due for some updates.
