Blagraves House is a charming historic 15th Century building. With its heavily beamed ceilings and large open fireplaces, it has been playing host to weary traveller and businessman alike for some 500 years. It has connections with Richard III. It is also recorded that Lieut. General Oliver Cromwell held Council here in 1648 were he was presented with burnt wine and oat cakes. Today our emphasis is on fresh food cooked to order using mainly local produce, accompanied with a comprehensive wine list and friendly unobtrusive service. Clarendon's is situated in a 16th Century Grade 2 listed building in the heart of Barnard Castle. It is a tradional Tearoom with a contempory twist. Serving delicious food and excellent refreshments.
