Things to do in Bantayan Island

On our first night at Bantayan island, we headed to Blue Ice Bar in hopes for a sumptuous pizza and pasta dinner (based from reviews online). Waitress welcomed and orient us that it was the restobar's first day of reopening after 2 months of closure. Instead, we got buffalo chicken and buttered chicken as there seem to be a limited menu for the night. We waited hungrily for an hour before our food got served. Meal presentation, portion and taste were mediocre and very over priced at P195 each - not to mention the incomplete cutleries (we ate our rice using fork but were too hungry to even bother asking for spoon). We requested for service water but were told that they only serve mineral bottled water. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience. Total waste of money! Since the restobar reopened, for some reason the entire kitchen staff and resto crew were completely replaced (as told by the manager herself). Restobar lacks the old charm of good food and excellent service. Beware!!

So many restaurants in the island especially in Santa Fe. Most restaurants in Santa Fe transformed into a bar at night, but you can still order food till late in the hour
We have difficulty of choosing places to eat but this restaurant serves Italian food stated outside their board. We all are favor for Italian dish so we are curious to try after seeing that they have choice of Italians menu. We're very lucky we could set to a table of four person
The entrance to restaurant has dimmed light taking photo it wasn't pretty clear. This restaurant has a special entrance in daytime looks nice but in dark is awful ;-). There weren't much tables you must be lucky coming here to have space.
We're immediately entertained by a girl. Their menu list indeed has few list of Italian dishes. It didn't take long we all made our order. Since there were four of us we all made a quick choice (we all like Italian food). Helene and me order a pasta with shrimps. Didier has spaghetti with meatballs and Ivy has lasagna
Believe me or not I never thought we could have a good Italian food in Bantayan island. We maybe have to wait a little longer for the order but this was worth to wait. The lasagna was the longest one to wait, Ivy certainly happy with her choice. A great place for Italian food and you'll never get disappointed and worth the price. Let say I pay about from 180-250 peso each for food only

Best baked scallops we've ever tasted in the Philippines. Really love the taste. Would have ordered 4 more dishes.
We found this place from the recommendation of our tricycle driver. At there at Sunday night and we were the only customer (with two couples following hours after).
The dishes were good, not great (except the scallops) but our Australian visitor had an upset stomach, probably from a bad prawn during the night which prevented us from pushing through with our island hopping the following day. Hoping for fresher food!

Wine & cocktail bar
More expensive than most other restaurants in the street. Also much better! Excellent pasta, good wine. Single travelers can be seated at the bar, live music. Service sometimes a bit helpless but friendly. Good choice!

Located inside Anika Island Resort. An open air restaurant. Serving the freshest catch of the Island as well as other local and international dishes.
My friends and I decided to have breakfast at Chloe Cafe at Anika Resort and it was worth it. We were actually checked in another hotel and found Anika by chance.

Reading all the other review I was expecting the worst service experience but either we got lucky but it was impeccable. Quick order, quick food and super good à a very good price. It's true that all staff is all behind the bars talking and talking but we got the attention needed without anything to say.... It's Bantayan so chill out since it's a slow pace island

Ale Pasta Basta is a place where you can have breakfast, good quality Italian pizza, pasta dishes, coffee and bread at a very low price when you are in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island few hours from Cebu City. Here you can have handmade pasta prepared by the owner / Italian chef with fantastic sauce. Come and try our authentic rustic Italian Pizza and Pasta!!!
At the moment you will find Ale Pasta Basta left besite of the Chinese Store on the Main road offering only some bread and Takeout. So far we have only tried some croissants and they are quite good, even if they are really small for their price.

We arived for simple breakfist before long day, we saw the pic of the manu outside and we order the name of the dish that was on top - fruit salad, it was sepused to came out with yogurt and musley.
It took about 10 min and its didnt look nothing like the photo. It was mix of fruit&veg with yogurt cone mix with it, and the stuff say that if we want granola/musley it another charge for topping -10 p for realllly small pack- u need at least 4-5 for the salad, we didnt belive that this plain dish cost without any topping 230! With the top- 270!! Its a person big meal in most places... the salad was ok for that i can give 3 star but everything other like the service, the price, will not recomended even though the place looks invated and cute...

This small bakeshop is in the middle of town and is owned by a charming gentleman who also personally bakes the bread and other treats onsite. We were encouraged to try the croissants, albeit early as it runs out by 11am. We got to try the baguettes, as well. Needless to say, the buttery croissants were better than the heavy baguette. They also serve hearty meals and drinks.
