A very unassuming parrilla, but very good. The interior reminds one of a cozy, antique tasca. According to a friend who's lived in Bahia Blanca, it's the best parrilla in town.
Asado de tira (ribs), mollejas (sweetbreads), suckling pig, and lamb are available, all tasty.
The wine list is good, with reasonable prices. Good service.

This restaurant has great potential. Reasonable food, great look and ambience, great service. It has it all. However, the menu is enormous. I asked the waiter if the owner was the chef and he said 'No'. There is no way that any decent chef can keep up with producing this ridiculous menu. It took me 10 minutes to read through the menu, then another 10 minutes to re-read it and decide what to have. The food is good, but please 'Keep It Simple, Stupid'. I'm sure the food could be even better, if the chef didn't have to deal with this crazy menu.

Not bad. Good view of plaza. Biggest issue was did not take a credit card and this was one of the biggest and most modern looking cafes. I ate a late, light lunch here and it was very crowded and popular when most of the other cafes were empty.
Good for people wathcing as it looks over the main Plaza of Bahia Blanca.

Part of the Basque club at Bahia Blanca. Very good restaurant, quite fine decoration, quiet environment. Good plates, basically with good ingredients, not sophisticated but good enough if you consider where you are in the world! I come here every time I visit this city!

First restaurant I visited in Bahia Blanca back in 1997 and I've been coming regularly ever since whenever I visit the city. Its a traditional Argentine restaurant with a very nice variety of typical Argentine dishes (different meats and pasta dishes). I don't think the menu has changed in 20 years but what they do, they do well, so why change.
The steak is excellent and what I usually order. They are perfectly cooked.
The service is excellent as the waiters and staff are career professionals who take pride in their restaurant. The decor is early 1900's Argentina.
Hopefully, I'll be coming here for the next 20 years.

We got a nice seat on the street Terrace and started of with an aperitif. Don Tomas has a wine list that features some very fine wines, which is not a given here in Bahia Blanca. We selected a very nice bottle, and had some "papas con panceta y cedar" with it... bliss :-). The waiter was a natural! Best I've had in Bahia Blanca. After the aperitif, we had another bottle of wine, and ordered the typical "Milanesas" which were good! The portions were pretty big. We had a good time!

The place was very busy on a beautiful sunday when the rest of the city was away. The setting is classic and comfortable, the waiter was nice and helpful, and there is a wide choice of all the classics Argentina offers. It was good, it was nice, it was an excellent lunch.

Positive:
- the ñoqui with dried mushrooms and the sorrentini with meat (ciervo) and onion, bacon cream sauce were good.
- iService was very friendly.
- The atmosphere was cosy and inviting.
Negative:
- the shrimp starter (al ajillo) was not good.
- Salt was missing everywhere (but available on the table).

My boyfriend and I, went to the restaurant and hearing everyone talking about it. Service seems to be extremely reserved, trying to get a waiters attention because my steak was undercooked, was like trying to catch a fly zooming around the room. Portions are extremely large, me having a steak I would say at least 12 oz. a little over wheeling for me.
Would return just to have a starter. And would ask not to be sat right next to the door, it's cold.
