Would absolutely recommend this place! The food was delicious and the drinks were great too! I ordered the pesto pasta and my wife ordered the mango chicken salad, both tasted great! We also had the Oreo Frappuccino and fruit smoothie, so good! I’d say the Oreo Frappuccino is the best I’ve ever had! The staff were also super friendly.

Our recipes are prepared with the freshest produce and ingredients
We really enjoyed our lunch at Taqueria Mazatlan. We drove straight from the airport after getting our car rental, before leaving town. We enjoyed a very nice meal, sampling a variety of Mexican inspired dishes including the chimichanga, nachos, and a variety of tacos. Their jugos are yummy and the prices are very reasonable (on the low side). Parking is in the shopping center.

This is a new restaurant on the premises of the Hotel Nayara
This restaurant is part of the Nayara hotel. It's a nice option if you don't want to dine at Altamira (the other restaurant hotel). The sushi is nice (try the Nayara roll) and the Peruvian rice was good. The restaurant opened in February 2012, but seems to running well. There are couches on the balcony where you can eat and look at the volcano. Try the Peruvian rice, empanadas, and the Bavarian beer.

It's number 20 on this maphttp://www.nicoyapeninsula.com/avellanas/Also I took pics of the place to include in my review.
We had rented a house in the area and been eating at Lola's almost every day and became tired of it and found this place. The food was delicious and the cost, with beers and rum drinks, was just $42. The same meal at Lola's would have been double. It's a local little place, not the flash of Lola's, but it was more down to earth and we loved it.

So there were eight of us. They forgot to make one order, and gave another girl the wrong meal. When she said that what she got wasn't what she ordered the waitress argued with her and refused to fix the mistake. Also had to ask several times for a glass of water

Our group of four stopped at Tierra Mar based on the Trip Advisor review as we were returning from the Rincon de la Vieja national park.
Street parking was readily available and the restaurant offered plenty of Seating at lunch. There is an extensive menu (note: it is in Spanish only but if you have even a little Spanish, you should be fine) with lots and lots of choices. The manager who served us was very polite and helpful - he spoke limited English but with our limited Spanish, we all made out fine.
This is a seafood restaurant so most of the dishes are predictably seafood based.
Service was reasonably prompt by CR standards and quite attentive. The food was excellent and everybody enjoyed their selections. I had the garlic shrimp and they were excellent.
Highly recommended.

This is a great place to go in Liberia if you want to try typical Costa Rican food well made. It is like homemade food. Considering Liberia is hot and almost no restaurant has air conditioning it is always nice to have lunch or coffee with a nice and cool atmosphere. Owners are great people with a great service commitment. It is a must in Liberia.

We ordered steaks, chicken & Fajitas. Steak & chicken were awesome. Perfectly cooked and presented. It came with salad or beans or fries.
Easy to find as it’s straight down the Main Street in Liberia. Happening place so make reservation.
Service was very good. Spoke some English and menu is totally in Spanish.
