A simple menu, a policy of "single price", and season products. Couleur des champs also is a restaurant where the local producers have their "place of honor".
We had another lovely meal here, but sadly opening hours are limited in the evening (Friday and Saturday). It is situated just off the Place de Heros and is well worth booking (Saturday evening was all fully booked). The food is all home cooked and the price for food and wine is excellent.

A small restaurant, hidden on a narrow street, not far from the theatre. We came here following a recommendation, otherwise probably we might not found it. The food was well prepared, as you expect it to be, in the spirit of local cuisine. Friendly and helpful service. Plain decoration.

We fancied a pizza and went here based on the trip advisor reviews. The place wasn't busy as we were quite early. The pizzas were good and tasty. We ordered a carafe of red wine ( couldn't see it on the menu) which was very reasonably priced and a beer( had to ask for it 3 times before it turned up). Pleasant enough evening.

This was our second visit in 3 years, having had to book both times as we had to be very politely turned away the first time when we hadn't booked. The first time we were a party of 7 and ate in the front room, but last week there were only two of us and we were shown to a table in the rear dining room, which had slightly less atmosphere although it was full by the time we left. On the first visit we were treated to an appearance by a belly dancer, much to the delight of the men in our party (the French males all seemd to stare fixedly at their plates!) but this time she didn't appear, to my husband's disappointment. However it was the night of La fete de la Musique and the noise in the streets was drifting into the restaurants, so perhaps it was understandable. The welcome and service were polite, not quite as friendly as last time, but the food was every bit as good and we would certainly go again if we were in the town. We had lamb tagines, which contained huge quantities of lamb, almost certainly lamb shanks, so the comment by a previous reviewer about the poor amounts of meat certainly didn't apply in our case - we didn't have room for dessert!

We first visited this restaurant 6 years ago & the seafood & service was so fantastic we had evening dinner there 2 days running. As we were visiting Arras again we decided to revisit Le Bouchot, for starters my wife had smoked salmon which was ok although she said she had eaten better, I had oysters which were nicely presented unfortunately looked very thin certainly not plump like the ones I had eaten there previously. For mains my wife had the sole meuniere which was just ok & I chose the mussels with prawns cooked with cream & Calvados. The mussels were the smallest I have ever seen, yes there were a lot of them but the meat inside was tiny & the prawns were overcooked & rubbery, the sauce just tasted of cream not even a hint of Calvados. We both had desserts, trio of ice creams & a crème brulee both of which were really nice. It was a disappointing meal perhaps we just chose the wrong items on the menu, I would give it another try if we visit Arras again, it is reasonably good value for the range of seafood on offer & the service is still good. It did get busy as the evening progressed but there were still 1 or 2 tables free, some tables are quite close together & it does get quite noisy.

I went because of its good ratings here on "Trip", but was underwhelmed.
The style and service is very "express". Menu is basically steak, steak and prawns or steak, prawns and salmon.
The steak was good. I wasn't sure whether our requests for medium or rare or whatever made much difference. All the steaks I saw looked much the same - on the pink side.
Fries were good and unlimited - but no vegetables what so ever.
The best bit was my desert. A mini slection with coffee. Nice selection of tasty bites.
Service was good and brisk - like the place itself

We came upon this restaurant on our first trip to Arras, food was superb, staff were friendly, ambience was perfect for our first meal on our recent trip.
Decor inside the restaurant was rather quirky which added to the experience. We will certainly return next time we visit Arras.

We arrived at the restaurant soon after opening & were rather discouraged on being told that we couldn't sit at the table we first selected, even though there was no indication that it had been reserved. The background music was also rather loud with a persistent & annoying beat. If we hadn't read such good reviews about the food, we would probably have left. Indeed, another party came in soon after us & they did leave, saying the music was too loud.
However, we were pleased that we did stay as both the food & drinks were excellent & reasonably priced. Service was brisk & almost too efficient, with each glass & bar mat whisked away within seconds of a drink being finished. However, we didn't appear to merit the smile on which others have commented.
The restaurant filled up during the evening & the ambiance was then very pleasant. We would recommend Yummy's, especially later in the evening when the background music in no longer intrusive.

Very friendly and professional bar/cafe run by a lovely couple, Regime and her husband Pierre, we were unfortunately delayed in Arras as our car broke down so instead of a one night stay we ended up staying 5 days, but we couldn't have been in a better place.
We first stopped at Le Cap Horn just for a quick drink, we had a very warm welcome from Regime, this is a local bar without any pretence of being anything else, it is obviously popular with locals.
On our 2nd visit we were greeted by Regime with the regulation French cheek kissing!! We stopped off for a drink at least once a day as we felt welcome and prices are very good.
We ate twice here and all the meals were excellent, Moules & Frites, Steak & Frites and lovely salad with ham, eggs, cheese and a lovely salad dressing.
We will definitely visit again if ever we are in the area.

Just spent the last few days telling all the people to whom I recommended this place last year that they're probably better avoiding it. The quality is reasonable and the prices, while hardly budget-level, are competitive for the Arras area (the city centre is very expensive for anything approaching a decent meal). The portions are small so 'the sin of gluttony' in the restaurant's name is strictly for the well-heeled; but the menu at €29 will suffice if you're not very hungry. It was our experience on Friday evening that put me off the place for ever. I hadn't noticed that the giant prawns were to be served with Chorizo so when I saw the dressing I asked them to take the plate away. I don't eat meat so I had no intention of touching it. The waitress offered to scrape the chorizo off the prawns - which might be satisfactory for some but not for me so I just said I'd do without. She then proceeded to offer over and over again to redo ('refaire') the course. Eventually I accepted, thinking they were being generous (they had no obligation to replace it because, as she pointed out, the menu did state that the dish contained chorizo). It was with surprise and immense disappointment that, when we got the bill, we saw we had been charged for an extra dish. I protested but they said that they had to charge because the original meal had had to be thrown away. Even leaving aside the fact that they'd positively pressed the replacement on me when I was ready to make do with just two courses this explanation just won't do. They hadn't added a small supplement to cover the wasted ingredients, or even a sum proportionate to the starter course of a 3-course 'menu' but had awarded themselves the full a la carte price of the dish. Very shabby - an attitude that will keep us away from there in future and sufficiently infuriating to make me want to warn my friends to avoid the place.
