Visited Widersbergerhorn Again after years of absence. It was very nice, and in the summertime there is a large outdoor Terrace. Nice and very welcome in the present heat wave.
The menu has of course evolved, but there is still a veneration for Classic Austrian dishes. Very nice. Keep the local kitchen.
The Bio wave is very remarkable, and all dishes are marked with composition. Great for allegic people
The dishes now have a touch of access to different Salads, wide use of local, season choices of veal, lam, spices and so on.
Service was just perfect and value for Money is good.

We were visiting Rattenberg for the day and decided to eat at the Café Malerwinkel. It's just off the main street where all the tourists go in a quiet alley (with a good view). The weather was hot and we decided to eat outside on the Terrace.
We only had a snack and a beer, but the cheese soup was outstanding and it was beautifully presented (with tiny bread sticks wrapped in Palma ham).
The service was perfect and very friendly (as it almost always is in this part of the Tyrol). We went inside to look round. This restaurant has some of the most amazing dining rooms I've ever seen - they look as if they've been hacked out of the surrounding stone. It's also immaculately decorated and very clean.
We saw other people's food (who were eating more than us) and the presentation also looked immaculate. We will go back.
On our way out, we complemented the staff and we were invited to use the lift to the top floor where there's an open Terrace with a view across the medieval town. Our lucky day.

We came here for dinner and decided to treat ourselves. Very traditional, posh place with an upmarket atmosphere. Still we decided to splash out.
The food was very good and the service impeccable (thank you Torsten). For dessert tried the local delicacy on recommendation - cinnamon covered asparagus. Did not work for us, but nice to try something a bit different now and then.
Overall enjoyed the experience, albeit on the expensive side....

We visited zirmalm twice on a recent summer holiday to Alpbach region. Definitely one of our favourites. Pork fillet dish was to die for. My wife had cordon bleu which again was very good. On the second visit I sampled their beef stroganoff which was a well crafted dish. Waiting staff very pleasant and the setting to die for... they even had toys for the kids - highly recommended

Historic, comfortable, wood paneled dining rooms create an incomparable and genuine atmosphere at “Sigwart’s Tiroler Weinstuben” underscored by luscious, straight-forward cuisine which never loses sight of its Tyrolean roots.

This was a good well priced restaurant, but what set it apart was the salad buffet. We went here twice as it was a treat to help yourself to a good variety of salad with the ability to add your own dressing rather than the typical Austrian sharp vinegar soaked salad they are known for.
The restaurant did not have the ambiance of other more Austrian themed restaurants, but the pizza was good, the value was good and the salad great.

The restaurant is in the centre of the village and it is a beautiful old building. Inside it is ccosy and welcoming. The food is overall traditional food and tastes great!. The service overall is good. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice meal with your family or a more romantic meal with your partner

Without doubt, one of the finest konditorei in the Tirol, located at the very heart of Rattenberg, a touristic paradise. The selection of pastries is enough to make you dribble in anticipation ! The owner gives a wonderful exhibition of how to make apple Strudel - I would volunteer to sample everyday ! It was simply sublime

Everyone has to find this place. It is in a great location looking out across the snowy slopes of Alpbach. The coffee and hot chocolate is to die for and the cakes are just.........Sublime!!!! Every day on the way back from the pistes we come and eat cake.

The food and service are excellent. What I enjoy the most is how it captures Austrian spirit with the antique furniture, traditional dress and Tyroler decorations. This is like walking back in time. A slower rhythm, traditional foods in a great setting. Worth the wait, or reserve in advance as it is oftern full during peak periods.
