We arranged to meet friends for lunch before they returned to England. This was their first visit and they were impressed. The food was very good, especially the Bacalhau a Bras, as was the service. Look forward to our next visit.Thank you very much for your assessment. Now that your friends liked our food and service we look forward to another visit, maybe to try one of our À La Carte dishes. See you soon Restaurante Aquarelle

Gourmet Natural is a new style of steak restaurant, featuring all free range, 100% grass fed beef. Fish, sea food and vegetarian options available. service is attentive but no stiff, it helps you to relax into the spirit of the restaurant. Magnificent garden with a beautiful cocktail bar. CLOSED UNTIL NEXT SPRING
Great food, good service and nice atmosphere. Pretty Terrace and attentive staff. It's an obvious sister of Parrilla Natural, low score on originality and the place feels less loved. Good place to take guests, you'll be well taken care of. Make a reservation if you want to be sure of a seat. If you have the choice though, go to Parrilla...

Taken for a birthday celebration, what a treat!
Lovely outside ambiance, highly attentive staff, and a menu to die for. The food was of the highest standard also!
I agree that the spider crab mix was brilliant, the veal chop was especially memorable, pity it was the only one available that evening, I was lucky to get it!
However the various fish the others chose were fresh and plentiful and much enjoyed.
The men just left enough room for 2 apple and plum crumbles, but with 4 spoons!
A must for a return very soon.

We come to this part of the Algarve regularly throughout the year. It has been some years since we dined in this quaint little restaurant on the main road into Almancil. We made up for our non attention to this place recently and were very pleasantly surprised that it's food, wines and service remain good and worthy of being there.
We will return having good memories of a lovely evening dining in the garden at the rear of the restaurant.
Good valued place to visit. Very pleasant waitress from Romania who speaks fluent English and Portuguese.

We have enjoyed lovely meals at Florian for many years. The food has always been excellent and the service friendly and efficient. The restaurant had an elegant and up-market feel to it although it was always relatively expensive. But our recent meal there in early November was a huge disappointment. The food was still excellent but our evening was spoilt by the management's introduction of loud and raucous music which meant that having a conversation over dinner was difficult if not impossible. Also the chef appeared in the restaurant dressed in dirty jeans and a grubby T-shirt which poses questions about the hygiene in the kitchen and was entirely inappropriate for a restuarant of this style. The price remains high and, for the first time, we were reluctant to pay it.

We heard a great deal about this restaurant over the years.Recently we decided to take the plunge and dine here!
This restaurant is top class with wonderful service- particularly from Patricio and her colleagues
This is a Michelin star restaurant with all that goes with it - excellent food wine services and price.
Lovely place for diner a deux but expensive for a family outing or with guests.
A gem of a place.

A family restaurant that for more than 30 years is concerned with the excellence of its meats and fish freshness. Enjoy a drink in our bars and enjoy a memorable experience.<br>Only dinner and closed every Sunday.
Excellent meal with friendly service. Dropped by on an out- of- season Friday night, and probably should have booked. Interesting menu and imaginatively executed. I had the prawn and clam starter with a cheese topping, followed by flambe, Sea Bream. Others in our party had the Chateaubriand, Toledos of beef and Chicken - the beef dishes came with their own hot stone - allowing cooking to taste and offered with a range of flavoured sauces.
Puddings were also excellent, though I asked for a cheese board - not offered on the menu - which did not seem to cause the kitchen any problems. Again very good. Would highly recommend a visit !

Have eaten here with friends on a number of occasions over several years and the restaurant maintains a consistently good standard. Personally prefer the ambience of the courtyard compared to inside. The water noise from the Fountain I find very relaxing.
We have always been received in a way that makes us feel most welcome and the service is friendly and attentive. I do echo a previous reviewers comment about some staff members struggling with English - my friend wanted a simple variation to his dessert and really struggled to get it across and ended up with something completely different to what he believed he had ordered.
The cover here is very generous and good and if you don't have a particularly large appetite you should consider having either cover or starter but not both. You also get loads of complimentary goodie and port at the end of the meal.
My prawn starter was very nice but my main of Sea Bass was absolutely superb. My wife and a friend had the duck. Would appear that one breast had been badly butchered and both found bone fragments in the dish. Both I'm afraid are of the nature that this took the gloss off what was otherwise a nice dish. The flambé strawberries are to die for!
Whilst you'd pay a lot more for a meal of this standard back home there are other restaurants in the area of a similar standard which offer better value in my opinion.

The first thing that struck me when I entered the eatery was how much it felt like a hotel restaurant. Somewhat cold and impersonal and the harsh lighting did not help.
There are two areas of Seating and we selected the slightly raised area where we had a bit more privacy as otherwise we would have been sandwiched between two occupied tables. No one else was also sitting in this area which for some might have felt a bit remote from the rest of the restaurant.
It would not take much to create some atmosphere and the lighting dimmed would make a good start. Candles and flowers would also help.
The service was very good and the menu was quite extensive but has left little memory which probably does not say too much about the meal itself. I did feel at the time the desserts were unexciting and disappointing and much lower in standard and quality than the starter and main. Prices were reasonable but overall we enjoyed the meal but felt we had much better meals elsewhere.

Family restaurant serving Portuguese traditional cuisine, has in dishes like Monkfish "Pituxa" or Grilled Lamb Fillets with Mint sauce some of their dishes of excellence. Fresh fish daily, assorted meats and various desserts. Enjoy our magnificent Terrace during midsummer, or stay warm near our fireplace during winter evenings. Moderately priced. We are situated in a quiet area next to the Vale do Lobo road - Almancil. Pay us a visit and make yourself at home!
We booked ahead and found the eatery just outside the vale do lobo resort.
Limited beer selections do my husband ordered a glass of red. I had the indifferent super bock.
For starters we had the prawn piri piri and the coquille st Jacque with prawns mushrooms and cheese. Both very tasty.
For mains we had the monkfish in a cream sauce with prawns. This was a large portion and I felt the sauce was too rich.
The service was good and the prices on the high side but overall an enjoyable evening. You won't be disappointed with your meal.
