Honfleur, a harbor in Normandy, was popular with Impressionist painters like Monet and Boudin. They found its changing light and picturesque quays inspiring—and even today, if you return to the same spot every day to take a photo, you'll find no two are the same. On Saturday, visit the town's lively market and stock up on local cheese.

This famous 15th-century Cathedral is the largest surviving wooden church in France.
This is one beautiful and very old church. The build is quite special, based on local knowledge (ship building).
The church is very spacious, pleasant and still intimate. The feel to the church is really "old", you know this is a very old church.
At Christmas, the Xmas scenes are out of this world.. a lot of work went into them.

Well worth the climb for the view of the sein, the fisherman's church with bells outside, and the special open air service area for Pentecost celebrations.
Take the steep hill up from the Homme du Bois side of the town then walk back via the viewing point looking over the town and the Pont du Normandy.

As a fan of the impressionist painters, particularly Boudin, I have wanted to visit the picturesque town of Honfleur for years. The whole town, especially the old port, is like walking through a picture postcard.
The menagerie of boats; the carousel; the colorful tall, skinny buildings; the cafes that line the walk .. all combine to create a perfectly composed picture.
We loved walking around and stopping in one of the outdoor cafes for lunch.
Would highly recommend a visit to slow down and enjoy this lovely town.

This large free public garden is easy to walk to from the town…just head for the coast and bear left. You will arrive ultimately at the beach on the English Channel coastline….go back into the Gardens and walk through sub tropical array of lawns, flower beds and small lakes. There is a children’s playground and ample supply of butterflies if you have not already visited the Butterfly garden nearby.
The head and shoulder statues are tastefully presented within small arbours dedicated to the notable founders, benefactors and artists of the region of Honfleur including Monet, Satie and Baudelaire – it is very well done and worth a nice flat and leisurely walk to get there.

This place is not big but well organized. Reserve around 1 hour to walk around. Prepare for humid and hot environment (as one should expected here). Take a walk from the harbor to here and enjoy the architecture of the town.

We only had time to visit one museum in Honfleur and decided to visit the Satie House because it's nothing like we've visited before. Although a small museum, it kept us captivated because of the surprises in each room and with each exhibit. Some rooms have sensor operated gadgets and play music and commentaries depending on the closest exhibit we stood by. The music is rather enchanting and makes a delightful visit all in all.

The Saint Léonard church stands on the eponymous square, slightly elevated. The church bears the name of a hermit, Leonardo, who lived in the time of Clovis.
The current church was built in the 17th century on the ruins of the ancient sanctuary of the same name, destroyed during the Hundred Years War.
Its main portal, beautiful illustration of the flamboyant Gothic style, contrasts with its octagonal belfry Louis XV, decorated with musical instruments. The sculpted portal, the clock dial, the bell tower, testifies medieval art.
An eighteenth century lectern that you can admire inside the church is listed as a historical monument. .
An armchair of the bishop was bequeathed by Monsignor Suhard, bishop of Bayeux-Lisieux.
A splendid organ is planted in this church.
The visit of its interior is worth a look, if only for its stained glass windows and its frescoes. Also to see the Fountains and a wash house dating from the 15th century, very close to the church.,,For lovers of architecture.
