We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor, with few reviews (none in English). It was a 30 minute walk from our hotel. The neighborhood looked questionable& the place was locked up. We were trying to have lunch around 1:45pm. We knocked on the door & they opened early for the 6 of us. The inside of the restaurant was magnificent! Beautiful decor. Certainly not what we expected. They fired up the grill, served us wine & bread, and the adventure began! Although they spoke no english, we are traveling with a techy who knows how to use her Iphone! She googled the menu & we ordered for the table; one salad, the house tortillos, grilled chicken, lamb chops & a fruit filled crepe for dessert. Everything was wonderful. They even have a nice lounge in the back where live music is played. We all wanted to go there in the evening, but didnt make the trip. I hope we stumble on more places like this on our Trip through Spain!

We stayed at the AC Algeciras Hotel and asked the staff for a recommendation for dinner. They sent us up to the city center (about a 15-minute walk). On the way, we passed by this small restaurant about 2 blocks from the hotel and decided that if we couldn't find any place special in the city center, we would come back and try this place. It was definitely a favorite of the locals. We were served the best tapas that we had in all of Spain. It was one of those experiences that you hear about where the staff makes something special to serve you instead of you ordering it (it might have been that we also don't speak Spanish and we had trouble communicating). It was very casual and only had about 10 tables and a bar for Seating. We were served cheese and carmelized red onions on bread, smoked salmon with cavier on bread, and cheese, ham and tuna on bread. It was so good that we went back for breakfast the next morning and dinner that night. We also recommended this restaurant to a young couple looking for somewhere to go for dinner. Excellent!
This is a typical spanish Tapas Bar, not a classic restaurant. We had several good Tapas, especially the ham is good. They serve local Wine and Beer. Until 21:15 it was almost empty, then it got crowded. Desert not to recommend, nothing home made.

It´s a familiar small restaurant with a Terrace outside. Separate to have a hall deprived for 18 companions at table, to enjoy in private, where we organise wine tastings. It offers a diversified spanish wine list specialised in local wines and sherry, a traditional cousine and professionals staff. We hope that you have a beatiful experience
We were taken here by a Spanish friend who is in the police , this is the oldest tapas bar restaurant in Algeciras , the horse and carriages used to stop here for refreshments and feed the horses , a great selection of tapas available...MoreThank you a lot. We hope to see you soon

We were guided to this little gem because of TripAdvisor, and we were pleasantly surprised, because it is located off the beaten track.
The stuffed avocado with shrimp was lovely delicious and the Iberian meat "secretory" was simply amazing. Very simple dish, but the meat was so juicy and tasty. WE LOVED IT!!!

Pizzeria Uluwatu, the taste of Tarifa in the heart of Algeciras. Mass handmade with quality ingredients. Mix your ingredients to your taste!
We were attracted by the positive review on trip advisor and decided to stop by for a pizza. I think I can honestly say we ate one of the worst pizzas ever. The base was pre-cooked and thick as a cracker, it was too salty; toppings were ok but with such a thin and not properly risen base, the overall result was really terrible. On a positive note, the waitress was very friendly and polite and the price was quite cheap. However, if it's a good meal that you're after, you'd better look elsewhere.

The best seafood in Algeciras and extremely nice service! 15-25 € person, rustic place, fresh fish, where the locals goes. Once we tryed, we came back again and again! Every day the fish is different, thats why you need couple of times at least. Suggested virgin loabsters, or red king prawns called "gamba roja" the signature of the chef. The fried blue fish are also amazing, together with gold fish and local octopus! The place is not romantic but extremely authentic and genuine, the service is all made by the owner which is a character! He doesn't smile but it makes you smiling! He makes sure that the meal is all best suited for you. Again it is the place where to eat fish here.

You wouldn't necessarily chose this place for the interior not exactly bono chic, but everything else is spot on. The food, the service and the price all excellent. The only thing if one had to make a suggestion is that tend to serve everything you order at the same time. Maybe we should have ordered two or three and then ordered some more ten minutes later. Very minor and maybe our fault.

Went there only for coffee and ended up eating so so many different types of bread! It's incredible how delicious it is!! So much better because it's all made at the same place. The sweets are the bet ones. If you ever go I certainly recommend trying out a cup of American coffee and bread with chocolate. The best.

A really excellent place to eat, with equally fantastic service. Waiters are knowledgeable and will advise you on what to choose. There are good vegetarian choices and some really interesting dishes. Everything tastes wonderful and the price is the same as you'd normally pay in a far inferior place. We chose three dishes to share between two plus wine and the bill was well under 30 euros. Only quibble - they don't open until 9 in the evening and by that time, there were enough people queuing to fill all the tables. It might have been because there was a music concert in the park across the road, but in any case, this is a very popular place to eat!
