Jutland's cultural heart, Århus is an exuberant university town with a perfectly preserved old town and a recreated historic village, Den Gamle By. The top draw is the Moesgard Museum of Prehistory, showcasing exhibits from the Stone Age to Viking days and home to the city's most famous citizen, the 2000-year-old Grauballe Man. It's a lively spot, teeming with cafes, restaurants, clubs and cinemas. Denmark's second-largest city perches on Jutland's eastern coast amid beaches and woodland.

It's been discussed and pointed out many times why this restaurant only have 1 Michelin star. But, with or without 2 or 3 stars, this is dining heaven. All around this restaurant is world class, food, wines, environment and top service from staff. A dining heaven.

Nordisk Spisehus is a luxurious gourmet restaurant, where you can enjoy exquisite Nordic dishes and delicious wine on a sensory journey to the world's best Michelin-restaurants.
We have been thinking about what to write as a title for this review. Things came to mind like "Guide Michelin, give these guys a star immediately!". This was an extremely nice experience and the best in quite a while. The chef has been traveling around and cooked in top-restaurants for a week. You are enjoying recipes from the restaurants around Europe (with permission). Our favourite was a lobster dish from *** chef Jacob Jan Boerma from restaurant de Leest in The Netherlands. Absolutely amazing, like the entire dinner. Mostly we are not so much into wine-pairings but decided to give it a try. High quality, very generous glasses and topped off several times when close to empty. Hardly seen. Staff was amazing too. The sommelier and the hostess, Side Rasmussen and the entire staff are so kind and professional. Explaining the dishes and the wines is not a lesson learned by heart but a true explanation and depending on your interest adjusted to your wishes. Our compliments to the entire team and a big thank you for a delightful evening

The service was professional but friendly and relaxed. We were fortunate to have Sophia whose command of English supersedes many native speakers. The menu is interesting and the French wine choice was extensive and above average.I had the fish soup which was tasty but rather salty, my wife's carpaccio was impeccable.
The main course was entrecôte with béarnaise sauce, lovely piece of juicy meat but rather enormous and again too salty for our taste. The dessert was a superb chocolate fondant with raspberries/ meringues. The wines by the glass we ordered were exceptionally good a Sancerre and a Cotes du Rhône. Delightful buzzy atmosphere and enjoyable experience.

In my opinion it's the best sushi in Aarhus, and the service is absolutely amazing. If you still have some place left after the sushi, I highly recommend one of their desserts. The one we had was avocado mousse with white chocolate and raspberry. What a tasty ending to a wonderful evening. Definitely coming back.

Had a lovely evening here. We had the three course meal and ordered a bottle of wine first. The waiters were super friendly and attentive (I was the only English speaking person in the group and they always remembered to explain things in English to me). I liked that they explained every dish and whe we asked for wine suggestions he recommended us one exactly how we wanted. However, when we switched to cocktails after the meal I felt like the level was not the same. The cocktails could be a lot better taste and appearance wise. Other than that very nice ambience for a relaxed evening with some good food.
Oh and I particularly liked that the desert was a traditional danish dish!!

The food is both traditional and innovative, giving you a feeling of coming home, but with a touch of modern cuisine.
The staff is professional, and they keep having an eye on all guests, asking if everything is how you want it, or if you need anything else. They are excellent at making everone feel welcome and special.
Fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere and fair prices. What's not to like!

The food was great! Sadly they did not accept international credit/debit card. This turns down the rating to 3.

Denmark is the capital of fine Scandinavian food at it's best. This restaurant with a fixed menu did n to disappoint with well timed and presented courses with matching wines did not last long on my plate or in my bowl!. With no A/C and part of a full restaurant made it a bit uncomfortable however. The chefs are passionate about fabulous dishes. A must!

This restaurant has one Michelin star so we were expecting a lot. We chose their small menu, with wine. The dishes arrived with lots of time in between and we quickly ran out of wine. While the waiters seem knowledable and present the food with an in-depth explanation, we were more than a little disappointed to get dish after dish that looked very pretty but had very little taste. The chef here needs to work on moving away from blandness to stronger taste combinations, to justify prices. Furthermore, the staff should refill wine and speed up the servings - we sat there for over 4 hours in very uncomfortable dining chairs.

KoD is the new steak house in Aarhus, where you can enjoy a sumptuous dinner in charming surroundings with fine wines and the best service in Aarhus. The concept is meat of the finest quality in the form of steaks from the best cuts from Denmark, USA and Uruguay. The tender steaks are served with our delicious selection of sideorders and sauces. After dinner, you can have your pick from our drinks menu, where skilled bartenders to the sound of crisp tones ensure that you can finish your evening in the best possible way.
Restaurant is located in popular area downtown. Very friendly staff welcoming and servicing you. Have chosen the US ribey, rare. Correctly served. The mushrooms at the side missed a bit flavor and to my taste the pepper sauce could have been more hot. The bread tasted amazing. Will return for sure.
