Enjoy a relaxing wander through the Gardens and enjoy the 'Pool of Tranquility'. The Gardens located at Chinaman's Dam look spectacular all year round. Picnic facilities, barbeques and toilet facilities are all available on site making it a perfect stop for lunch. Entry is free of charge
Peter Dutton would no doubt feel comfortable here in the knowledge that the vilification of particular racial groups is a recurring theme in Australia's brief history. For most of us though, the xenophobia which was abetted by past governments sits uncomfortably with our multi racial society living in a country we usurped from it's original inhabitants. This is a pretty garden which was stunning in the early morning and is a wonderful place to ponder on some of the more evil acts that have been perpetrated in the creation of our country. Fortunately for us the Chinese showed patience and forbearance and became important economic and civic representatives and leaders of communities as diverse as Beechworth and Cooktown among many others and made significant and lasting contributions to the fabric of Australia. Visit and reflect.

Welcome to Young's sweetest tourist attraction! Poppa's is a fantastic lolly shop manufacturing fudge, jams, chutneys, sauce and cherry products. Poppa grows it on his farm and makes it on the premises. You'll also find a huge gift emporium filled with unique homeware and giftware and is a exclusive Ecoya Products.
I was looking for some unique gifts for a Mother's day lunch I was hosting while on a recent business trip to Young. Poppa's had exactly what I was looking for and the mum's loved their gifts yesterday. Not to mention, I also grabbed a couple of pieces of their delicious fudge for myself! Smooth and creamy.

Visited this lace when last in Young. Things have changed a lot, now housed in the old railway station. Staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. I recommend this place if you are new to town and want some up-to-date information of what's happening in the district.

Fantastic place to visit, very interesting to learn about spirit making and the names of their spirits are very aussie and taste great. We always do our Christmas booze shopping here, the prices are great and the quality exceptional.

A specialty clothing shop in the main street of Young. Staff were friendly and helpful. They have a lot of woollen items - jumpers, scarves, gloves, socks etc, also cotton - my partner bought a nice cotton top. Prices are what you'd expect for good quality clothes, not cheap but not over the top. Worth a look.

Grove Estate is open seven days for tastings and cellar door sales from 9am-5pm. Located in the beautiful Hilltops Region 4km from Young, Grove Estate have quietly built an international following for their wines, which include both traditional reds and whites and some interesting Italian varietals.
A must do when in young. A lovely little tasting room. Enjoyed an afternoon tasting in front of the fire with the vineyards little foxie dog. Some award winning wines are here and well worth buying. James Halliday also rates the wine here too. Will return in the future
