Have not been here for a while. Ordered steamed Dims Sims and Chicken with Peanut Dish. Tried the Chicken with peanut dust and it was wonderful. Chicken fillets with celery onions, capsicums, carrots & freshly sliced chills topped with crushed peanuts. Tender melt in your mouth chicken and wonderful flavors and sauce . Meal was huge i needed a doggy bag. Reasonably priced good efficient service on a busy night. Looks like when i am back town my order will be Chicken with Peanut dust.

My family frequent New Cathay and have done so for over 10 years. I cannot recall ever being disappointed with meals. The highlight of our meal is the salt and pepper chilli squid, which is absolutely delicious amd always fresh. You won't be disappointed.

I ate here one evening, mid week. And was quite pleased to see that the restaurant was rather busy.. Always a good sign.
I asked for the non-veg thali meal; and inquired what the three curries were for the day. Surprisingly, the waitress said she didn't know, and on further questioning, seemed hesitant to find out! "Whatever the chef decides" - was the response, which made the whole meal seem like a lucky-dip. I presume the chef might make a bit extra of what might be ordered, and serve it up; but it would be good to know what the meal might include. Anyway, she did enquire, and let me know. And they were good enough to swap a chicken dish for a veg one.
The Thali includes some papadum, and a gulab jamun too.
The food was ok, I asked for medium hot, but it seemed rather mild to me. The mild might be a disappointment, if you prefer flavoursome Indian food.

It is attached to the Spotlight centre in Queanbeyan
I have eaten here regularly and never disappointed. The cafe has a nice warm atmosphere about it and the service is good. Though on my last visit here I ordered the salt and pepper calamari and found it a bit too salty. They make a good salad and the cakes are always good if you don't want a meal. They also make good sandwiches with plenty of filling.

In 2003, the first "Lime Leaves" Thai Restaurant opened in a beautiful heritage building the heart of Queanbeyan. This service and culinary delight continues today.

Khun Omm, an award winning chef, is a self taught chef and matriarch of "Lime Leaves". Our food is prepared daily, using the finest and freshest quality of ingredients. Combine these elements with great service and friendly staff, and "Lime Leaves" is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in or around Canberra.

Our Kaleen restaurant opened in May 2011,and continues to provide flavoursome authentic Thai cuisine for our north side customers.
Perhaps chef is still on holidays because only two people on floor and drinks came after second course delivered. Food cool appeared to be pre-prepared, flavours were sickly and not delicate. Filled the gap, but Maccas can do that. Shame because it promises more with the beautiful building and views of the lovely park.

A friend and I had lunch here a few days ago and both of us ordered Schnitzel, chips and salad with pepper sauce.
As a Schnitzel lover, this one didn't rank, on the small side, ordinary salad smothered in dressing and a watery sauce. At $22, there are far better schnitzels on offer in Canberra/ Queanbeyan.
Get your act together, as the venue is brilliant

We were visiting Queanbeyan and just wanted something nice for dinner, not pub food, but nothing too expensive either. Turquoise Turkish is perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was clean and quiet. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Have been coming here for years on and off. This was by far best visit. Friendly efficient staff. Garlic bread was good. Brushcetta was best. Chicken and mushroom risotto, gnocchi gorgonzola and beef lasagna were delicious. Clean and tidy restaurant. Clean bathrooms. Very impressed. Thank you

We picked this Cafe at random because it was open on a Sunday. I had a vege stack with smoked salmon and my partner had the wagu burger. Both meals were freshly cooked, delicious, and a good size for 2 hungry people.
Order at the counter, find a seat, and the food is delivered to the table.
Our meal plus 2 drinks was $45 - good value for money.
Blackboard menu has lots to choose from.
You can sit inside or there was some Seating outside.
Good place for lunch.

Three of us visited here on one of their busiest nights. Valentines Night. Luckily we pre-booked. The staff were extremely friendly and were very efficient and worked calmly under pressure.
I give this such a high rating because this has to be the best food we have enjoyed in any pub or restaurant for a long time.
We picked from the extensive specials board. I had the pork belly with rice & sticky sauce and salad, the pork belly was cooked to perfection, and was extremely delicious, with an entree of oysters pialligo, the best! Others had the chicken schnitzel with tiger prawns and kingfish with an entree of Mornay type oysters with lobster and crab. All gave this five stars.
Prices were reasonable for a good restaurant meal ( Average main around $30).
Next time we go to Queanbeyan hopefully we stay longer to get to enjoy more of the meals here.
