Wengen is a mountain village in the Bernese Oberland of central Switzerland. Located in the canton of Bern at an elevation of 1,274 m (4,180 ft) above sea level, it is part of the Jungfrauregion and has approximately 1,300 year-round residents, which swells to 5,000 during summer and to 10,000 in the winter. Wengen hosts the classic Lauberhorn ski races of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in January.

Colin and Tracy run a very well organized and professional ski hire place at Wengen. They have years of experience, are close to the train station which is the main modes of transport to most of the ski hills, the kids ski lesson area and one of the cable cars, which is a must when carrying all the equipment that you need to ski or snowboard. They are warm and gracious and make you feel like you are borrowing ski equipment from friends, rather than hiring from a shop. They employ staff who are most helpful, and their daughter who was working in the shop at the time provided us with some tips on various ski hills. I would recommend them to anyone who was planning on skiing and renting while in Wengen. Jeffrey, Lori and family

Not the easiest place to get to but well worth it. A quaint, lovely and classic Swiss village. Offers amazing hiking trails that are well marked and vary in intensity. Train drops you off right on 'main street' which has sports stores, groceries, restaurants. Train offers great access both down the valley and up to terrific destinations like Junfraujoch. We found an airbnb in Wengen that was clean and lovely. Always make sure though to check how far your accomodations are from the little main street as it seems some could be a pretty long walk. Day trips from here to places like Murren are easy via train. We only wish we had more than 3 days in this special place..

Hidden gem of the main street in Wengen opposite the intersport shop. Really friendly, good music and excellent choice of beers. Although the Aperol Spritz was pretty awesome too, according to the Mrs. Looks like it's been recently refurbed with music memorabilia from the Beatles...MoreSo happy you enjoyed your visit , and nice compliments on the renovation , was a lot of work and great to hear compliments . Hope to see you again

We are very often customers of different shops in Wengen. All of them are quit good. At Central Sport we had the shortest time for Ski-service.
The very friendly staff and the owners Philipp and Viktor Gertsch are always available if we had any queries. We hope this Service Level will last! Thanks to the Crew and the owners. We will come back.

Great ambiance and good wine. I also tasted a variant of wine somewhat called masala wine which wasn't too good but tasted different from routine. But it's widely taken during winters in parts of Zurich as the bartender told.

This completely revamped Lauberhorn downhill ski race themed Minigolf course, while fun, is tough in that many of the holes are actually quite tough to sink the ball in the cup. It is very well designed with plenty of holes unique to Wengen and our small party (teenagers and myself) enjoyed this aspect very much.

Lovely shop with some great souvienirs. The lady was very helpful and friendly but not at all pushy and quite happy for us to browse. Unfortunately we were continuing on to Mannlichen and then down the other side to Grindelwald and I didn't want to be carrying our purchases, so I was unable to buy anything.

No matter if it's about clothing, ski/board equipment or footwear: at Molitor you'll get the most personal service.
We had a wonderful experience renting skis, boots and helmets at Molitor! Staff were extremely friendly, fitted our boots perfectly, and took the time to help us select ski routes for our outing the following day. We rented the night before skiing, and they safely stored our gear in the backroom for easy pickup anytime the next morning.
Great prices, great service, will definitely be back next time we're in Wengen!!

I visited the cinema in Wengen for the first time ever and was very impressed...even an old fashioned style intermission for ice cream !!!! Facilities and sound system are superb having benefitted from a recent upgrade to the equipment.
