Grindelwald is postcard-perfect, a charming example of a Swiss ski resort. There are slopes for all experience levels, plus plenty of snowy activities for those who don’t ski, such as sledding, hiking or snowshoeing. Not feeling particularly active? Just cozy up by crackling fire and enjoy the merry atmosphere. After a long day, nothing’s better than lingering over a pot of Swiss fondue and a glass of crisp wine as you plan the next day’s adventures.

Great visit! Initially the pizza options seemed a little off-putting, but they were delicious! Embrace the uniqueness. Had salad and pizza, with some wine, and ended with a berry sundae and grappa and it was really a perfect lunch! Highly recommend this place. It’s small and Cody and really a hidden gem!

We first went to C and M Cafe Bar in 2010 and in 2017 it was one of our first stops when we came back to Grindewlad. Stopped in for a beer and Sandwich to take in the great views. We also went back on our last night to enjoy a few beers and hot wine at the bar outside. Really cool to see them make the wine on an open fire under the stars. Enjoyed the conversation with the bartender.

We went there because of their pizza and half of us ordered pasta. At the end everything was very tasty including the bruschetta we’ve ordered as a started. The fagottini with truffles was perfect and the marguerita pizza also.

Stopped for a light lunch. The place is family-friendly, less costumer-friendly. They have a separate menu for kids, with ok dishes. Soups (tomatoes and lentils) were delicious! The only thing that spoiled the good taste was their firm refusal to accept a return of a gluhwein glass in exchange for regular wine.

In every one of our restaurants, in the Kreuz Restaurant, the Challistubli and in the Panorama-Dining room, it is all about pampering. You explore a fresh and nice cuisine inspired by the seasons and our local products. We offer honesty and great taste, regional but also international dishes, all prepared with great care.
This traditional Swiss restaurant offers many regional specialities as well as some classic dishes served in a traditional Alpine setting. The food was excellent - I had one of the best veal liver dishes in my life. They also have a kids menu. The service was friendly and attentive. They provided pencils and colouring paper sheets for our son, which we appreciated. Excellent choice in Grindelwald.

Sat with friends in stunning garden with a mountain backdrop. Only intended to go in for a drink but was enjoying our environment so much, we stayed for dinner in the garden.
Food was delicious and our waiter Patrick was attentive and delightful. Highly recommend a visit

This is a combined cafe, bakery and shop (and also seems to have accommodation as well).
Delicious sandwiches and pastries. We arrived quite early in the day and had to wait a little while to get into our hotel room. We found this place and were so happy we did.I am delighted that you enjoyed it.

Avocado Bar is a chilled out bar located in the beautiful mountain village Grindelwald. We take pride in creating a relaxed positive environment for all. The kind of place people walk into without knowing anyone, and leave with a handful of good friends - Atmosphere!
Great outside Terrace for having a beer and enjoying tremendous views of the Eiger! We stopped in after hiking and or sight seeing every day for 3 days! Good selections of beer too! Friendly owners as well! Would go back in a heartbeat!

I've eaten lunch here numerous times over the years and dinner at night twice. Excellent food and competent and friends service. I love the summer salads, and the sandwiches are good and huge as well. There's always a special meal and various tarts to finish off with. If you can, get a table at the edge of the Terrace with spectacular views. And if you have kids, just before the restaurant is an amazing playground that will occupy them for hours. This is a great place to end a hike from Bussalp or any of the stops the Waldspitz bus makes.
