My husband and I stopped in The Warragul Country Club while visiting Warragul. They have a great lunch special for $12 with the option of adding a desert for $3. There is quite a good selection on the menu to please everyone. The staff were excellent with table service, no queuing like a lot of clubs. The interior is very well designed and quite new. There is also a café and the food on display was of a high standard. I recommend a stop in for lunch.

Set out as a typical Australian Village of late 1800's the Darnum Musical Village is home to over 300 entertaining instruments where stunning panoramic view compliment the beautiful village Gardens. Inside the historical buildings you will find instruments as rare and old as the Collard & Collard Square Grand Piano built in 1827 and the authentic 1878 William Anderson Pipe Organ. The visitor has the opportunity to hear a demonstration on any working instrument, or even play themselves! Entering the workshop on a tour of the Village you will find old tools of the trade. You can see Albert's highly skilled staff repairing and renovating pianos and other antique instruments. Watch the piano tuners at work and see the art of French Polishing. Take in the atmosphere of a by-gone era and witness the dedication taken to build up the village.
Fantastic! You'll love it if you enjoy WORKING antique instruments. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter got to play on a grand piano and tried pedalling on a old pianola. Everything is in tune even a toy barbie piano LOL!!!

Crossover Regional Park is an remnant of the flora and fauna that used to be widespread in west Gippsland. The park has lowland and damp forest. The best way too experience park is along the Rokeby-Crossover rail trail. You will see fern gullies, evidence of mining and the railway. It also features a couple of trestle Bridges. The park allows horse riding.
TIP: for the less physically inclined there is an easy way to experience park by walking from Crossover Bridge carpark.

Gardenvalia, the festival of Gardens, is at it's 14th annual Garden and Home Expo, which was situated at Lardner Park during October 11-12. 2014.
Lardner Park is located just under 10km from Drouin and is worth a visit during the festival of Gardens around West Gippsland.
If you are interested in gardening, permaculture, landscaping, trades, furniture and much more, or anything to do with the latest indoors/outdoors- then this is the place for you to visit.
There are over 150 displays, sales, specialists and general nurseries including a
"first class orchid display"!
An entry fee of $8per adult is reasonable, considering there are free demonstrations, activities, kids under 16 are free and especially that all proceeds are donated by the DROUIN LIONS CLUB community. It is definitely worth the trip just to help this worthwhile charity.

The sculpture garden features Laurie Collins metal outdoor sculptures of recycled steel and other materials in a parklike setting of 1 acre. The thoughtful and humerous sculptures are accompanied by writen explanations. The Red Tree Gallery shows Laurie Collins small figurative sculptures alongside a changing monthly exhibtion of Victorian artists.
Meet Laurie and the two dogs for a warm and boisterous welcome! Wander around the Gardens and take in the quirky sculptures scattered along the paths. Pop into the gallery to view the current monthly exhibition from local artists. Watch Laurie play with his new plasma toy. He'll cut you an owl or a dingo or a magpie to take away with you free if he's not teaching a local to weld. This is a place with a difference. Don't miss it.

Annabelle's is a charming giftware store in the village of Yarragon....whether it's a gift you are looking for or just something special for your home... this is worth perusing. On many occasions I have stopped and bought the soap they sell because it's lovely. I have given this product as gifts and I use it in my home.
I visited here in January to get ideas for a new (personal) project and while this might be the only time I have not bought something from them... I was sorely tempted to buy... as they had some new items that were really lovely.
Their staff are always friendly and willing to assist.

Australia's largest on farm alpaca garment shop and cafe serving coffee and cake. Come and meet the alpacas and see all the wonderful garments made from their exquisite fleece and enjoy our wonderful views
The cafe/shop area at Nickelby is small and somewhat crowded, but staff are friendly and welcoming. There are views over the garden and surrounds, on a warm day it would be nice to sit outside. The stock seemed quite expensive, especially compared to other wool mills I have visited, but was of a high quality.
The highlight was walking along the driveway to visit the very friendly alpacas who were keen for a feed of clover and a scratch.
It's a nice place for a quick stop, but I don't feel that it's worth a huge trip if this is all you are planning on doing.

This trail is one of Warragul's finest assets. All of Warragul is beautiful and this trail is at the heart of the town. The pathways wind through bushland and along creeks and a small lake in Brooker Park. Birds are everywhere and ducks abound in the lake It is easy walking, pram accessible and dog friendly. In a twelve month trial dogs are now allowed off leash in the Brooker Park section. The trail follows the path of the original indigenous people and features painted bollards, mosaics and art features from local artists. We love to walk there whenever we ca!
