The pizza crust was soggy. The Pappardelle dish was pretty good but no Parmesan cheese was offered as a garnish. The beer glass was straight out of the dishwasher and warm so not usable. These are all things that are easy fixed because they occur due to lack of attention, lack of care or lack of interest on the part of the staff.
The potential for this to be an excellent restaurant is there. The courtyard and dining rooms are attractive, being the historic court house and it's forecourt. Decor is appropriate although the air conditioning combined with the ceiling fans meant it was actually rather chilly inside - until someone adjusted things after we'd gone to our car to get extra layers of clothing.
The food is not bad and the selection of beers and wines is okay. But the devil is in the details as they say and it could so easily be so much more than average.

A favourite of ours. We often visit and are always satisfied. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The decor and setting are beautiful with large glass windows providing a great outlook over Warragul. The menu is varied without being overwhelming and is always interesting and well presented.
It's a great place with a calming atmosphere and quiet dignity.

Went with 2 others and had the usual spring rolls and dim sims. We had the spicy chicken and other had spicy beef. Great tastes and flavour. Licenced venue with good service. The meals come reasonably quickly so not a long night. Venue is clean and well appointed. Recommended if you like Thai.

This review of The Grange is now referring to the establishment under the manager/operators commencing in July 2017.
I was keen to try out the 'new 'order' of this establishment. The old menu was still available. But, I wanted to try out the cuisine of the new Chefs. So, I went for a special Potato Pancakes. My friend went for the soup of the day (Lentil and Lamb).
So, my friend's soup came out to our table quickly. It was nothing exciting. It was solid 'pub grub'. My meal, well, it was forgotten till my friend had finished and the new owner came over to ask what we thought of the meal! I had given up getting my food. I had decided to not pursue it.
So, then my meal was fast tracked. I should have stayed with my decision to not pursue getting my food as the recipe seems to have been about infusing a potato essence into a traditional batter. I envisioned the wonderful Latke (Potato pancakes) of Jewish cuisine. So, between the expectation I had and the frustration of having my meal forgotten; I found it very hard to regard my experience as positive.
The balsamic vinegar dressing on the small Rocket and red onion salad served with the potato pancakes with a creamy mustard sauce was a reasonable dish.
There is NO HANDICAP ACCESS to toilets. 18 steep steps up to a very small toilet. OMG forget attempting to access it if you have mobility problems.
The deli fare of exotic cheeses, interesting bread, various sweet, etc seems to be comparable to the Grange's former grandeur.

Asked for extra hot coffee....was informed once we received our coffee by ? Manager who was sitting near us listening to our conversation while drinking luke warm coffee that they won't heat milk more than 65 degrees. Had requested a caramel latte, they did not use proper caramel syrup for coffee, I'd expect it was actually caramel topping (used to make milkshakes). I would have preferred no caramel at all. I was unable to drink more than half as it was so sweet and coffee so bitter. I'm not a coffee snob, but give me maccas any day over this place! Will never return and advise friends and family to do the same. Young female staff seemed nice and very obliging, but did not appreciate being told off by the ? manager.

This restaurant is a good Sushi restaurant and juice bar for Warragul. It is head and shoulders above most other Warragul lunch options. The Gyozo's are great. The sushi is reasonably fresh. You need to go to Melbourne before you find Sushi Bars better than this place. Highly recommended.

Quirky little station cafe, with outstanding customer service and brilliant coffee! IF only coffee was this good everywhere! The owner/manager is friendly and her staff are exceptional. I have tried the muffins...both savoury and sweet and every time , they are delightful. I would highly recommend a visit to this cafe.

Well !!!what can l say , last time we came here was over a year ago and l wasn’t that happy with food , but on impulse we decided to go there on weekend . So glad we did . Staff were so obliging and helpful as usual but the food surprisingly good . We opted for seniors meal and the serves were really generous. My husband had lamb shanks with mash potatoes and veg and l had roast lamb , both were finger licking good . Entrees were veg spring rolls again delicious. Dessert was passion fruit pavlova and husband had fresh fruit salad with cream . Would we go again? Absolutely.

A small range of gluten free and did not really understand the issue. The bacon frittata (gf) was overheated in the microwave, lacked flavor, was burnt and had a gluggy texture. The chicken and mushroom quiche lacked flavor and the puff pastry tasted like cardboard. The coffees were average.

On 17 December 2017, Frankie's re-opened after a major renovation. New Menus but the same dishes on offer (a good thing). Their new decor is artistic and pleasing to this customer. Unfortunately, the acoustics are still poor, This is still the most popular Warragul breakfast, brunch, lunch spot. It is still the only doggy friendly option. Civilised kids are also very welcome.
My previous comments about Frankie's still holds. I moved them up to 4 stars as the reno refreshed and significantly improved the dining experience. The staff seem very happy with the new Frankie's.
