The old factory became the Beer Museum. Dynamic, interactive, modern. You can see the story of the beer throw centuries. Another part talk about the history of beer in Brazil, starting from that old factory. And another level we see all old machines (some still working) to follow all production. Of course, at end, we have the pleasure to try some of this excellent beer.

Went as part of an organised tour but it appeared to be easy to do individually. Quite quiet when we were there but imagine it could get busy in high season. Very well organised attraction, est appreciated on a cloudless day.

Love the hike and the experience of looking at Itacoatiara beach from above! It is a hike that requires strength, good lungs and courage, as at times you have only the rock and your body to hang on to...Totally worth it! Going with friend is a fun adventure and by oneself is quite meditative. Prepare legs and your senses to get blown away...=)

Pedra do Sino ("bell stone") is the highest peak (2.275m) of Serra dos Órgãos and offers you spetacular views of the many beautiful surrounding peaks and up to the city of Rio de Janeiro in a clear day.
The peak is in Serra dos Órgãos National Park, in the city of Teresópolis, about 100km from Rio de Janeiro city center.
The trail: It's an easy -- but VERY long -- walk until the top. More than 10km, usually more than 3 hours in a good pace (not rushing) each way. Do not go if you're not used to long walks.
Lenght: You can do it in a single day (arrive early -- 8 am -- to do that) or you can spend a night in a basic lodge very close to the peak (15 min.), or even camp in the lodge area. Check prices and reservation with the National Park before you go (the lodge is usually full in fridays and saturdays during the winter season)
Money: Price to the trail in jun/12 was R$ 30 for brazilians and R$ 55 for foreigners for a single day. It's more expensive (but not the double) if you stay there 2 days.
When to go: Winter days are usually clearer -- but always check the weather before you go. You may see nothing at the peak in a cloudy day.
Who is able to go: Anyone in good shape.

You have to pay to park the park and a fee to enter in the track. It's not expensive about R$12,00 person. Go early because it's steep and the sun is really hot. There is a waterfall on the way to the peak called "the shower waterfall" because it's a shower not a pool. Bring water because you will need.

Whether to attend a show or take a tour, it’s worth seeing this lavish 1909 theater, filled with gilded mirrors, statues, murals, stained-glass windows and sparkling chandeliers.
A tour of this theater should not be missed. We were told that they gave the tour in English at a certain time & when we got there, they had cancelled the English tour. Fortunately, there was another tour guide there & he offered to take us & another person on an English-speaking tour. The theater is patterned after the Paris Opera House. It is beautiful. Our guide was terrific & very proud of this building. It is located in Centro & there are other buildings to see in the neighborhood.

Itacoatiara is actually in Niteroi,
a city next to Rio, crossing the “Ponte Rio Niteroi” bridge. This place is very preserved, beautiful, cool and surf point. It also has tracks to climb the stone hill on the left side of the beach. Indeed I recommend staying close to the left side. There is a small beach with no waves on the right side, but it is usually packed with people. If you are placed in Niteroi or planning to visit some of the city’s attractions go there and enjoy!

A wandering drive on a dirt road brings you to this marvelous valley - with, as others have said, 9 Waterfalls on one trail. A well-maintained path and a steep but walkable hike brings you some stunning scenery. As it's a private park you can take your dogs on leash along, and have a nice pastel and homemade cachaca at the entrance to celebrate when you finish.

The Imperial Museum in Petrópolis, Brazil, is one of the most attractive cultural points of interest near Rio de Janeiro. Located in the town's historic center, the museum was once Emperor Pedro II's favorite residence. Today, it is one of the most visited museums in Brazil, with the annual average of 300.000 visitors. The Exhibitions tell the Brazilian Empire history through furniture, objects, paintings, sculptures and other historic and artistic pieces that belonged to the imperial family or other people from the 19th century.
Great opportunity to see architecture, ammenities and authentic furniture from more than 150 years ago...fully understandable that all visitors has to use some kind of flipflops to use with shoes and slide all over the place to not mistreat old imperial floor...but it was kind of annoying.

You actually can see this mountain called Finger of God from Rio De Janeiro. But once you enter Teresopolis it is magestic. For Mountain climbers it is awonderful epereince. Sunrize is spectacular. It can be cold because of the altitude.
