If you are near Amsterdam, Haarlem or Zandvoort, and want to hike, bike or horseback ride in a beautiful setting of woods, high grassy dunes, lakes, and amidst waterfowl, wild Highland cattle, ponies and other wildlife, then this is the National park for you. Easy access by car, bus or train, this can easily give you a challenging day of activities. The entrance has an education area, gift shop and cafe, with helpful friendly staff. Do as little or as much as you please. Its so close to the hectic Rundstad yet world's away.

The Playground is open after 13h00 and has an admission fee of 1 Euro per person. Drinks and snacks are very affordable. The grounds are big and there is plenty to play. Bring a book, let your kid(s) loose, put your feet up and enjoy.

This place really is a gem, situated next to child's play park and paddling pool, aviary and deer park round the corner. A very small scale so perfect for toddlers with a good selection of small animals.

The atmospheric historic grave-yard was constructed on the site of an 17th century country-estate featuring some monumental trees dating back to when this was a country estate.

This is definitely a really cool house and the family who lived there were amazing people. The only thing is I wish the tour focused a little more on history and a little less on the word of God. It’s fine to mention religion and acknowledge that the family was religious but our tour seemed to go on and on about almost nothing but religion. When we did get some historical facts it was very interesting and the house itself is beautiful. The tour is only about an hour and it is free (you can donate at the end if you wish) so I didn’t find it unbareable. Tours set off at certain times in different languages so just be sure to check out the door for your time so you can plan your day a little.

My suns went for ski training in preparation for Ski holidays. The trainers are very professional and kind to the kids. Small classes so they got extra attention. That alone is very super. The restaurant / bar is cozy and the staff is ver friendly. The soup I had was organic for a normal price.

Lots of space. Possibility to order online and just print the ticket there. Many places to buy some food, although hardly anything is healthy.. Seats for children to sit a bit higher. Always look forward going here with my daughter during school holidays.
