Everything everyone says out the settlement is true it is good. The exhibits are very thorough and genuine. Perhaps better on weekends when some of the displays may be on. Lots were closed being a quiet Wednesday including the nightly show for maintenance. I would check in advance to avoid disappointment. We had a Sandwich lunch in the cafe staffed by volunteers. Simple choices but fresh and service was good. I wanted to do the cruise and it was a peaceful and enjoyable meander up the river. The hour seemed to pass quickly. The licensed refreshments were welcome on board featuring a good selection of wines, beers and premixed spirit cans. Toilets are also available on board if required. The scenery and commentary were very interesting. It was a lovely trip down histories lane. Highly recommend

What a fabulous place. Extremely interesting. We started with a great 20 minute video and then had time to leisurely check out the exhibits and displays. This is a Lions' Project and is very well presented, telling the stories of the maintenance base for seaplanes at Lake Boga. We had no idea that this all happened in WW2 timeframe and we were amazed as to the high significance this base was to the success of the allied forces.
Well worth a visit. You can do it in one hour or more if you wish.

Some great caravan sites right on the river. Great playground and also the best camp kitchen I've ever seen. Seating undercover next to several bbq's and then an inside area with more tables/chairs, microwaves etc and very new and clean - it was a pleasure to use and its even airconditioned.

Called in here briefly to get info on location of afl ovals and tennis courts. The lady that I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly. Because of her knowledge, we managed to fulfill our children's desires re activities. This resulted in a happy household.

We are not normally into galleries but we decided to have a look, l suppose to our surprise we really enjoyed our time in the gallery. It was a hands on interactive display which was great.

The walk beside the quietly flowing and gently bending Murray River with its magnificent river gums, the Park with its well maintained paths and exercise machines and the small but pleasantly wild Wetlands are 'must see' attractions in Swan Hill and Nature's balm to soothe the many tensions of modern life. Bring your camera or set of watercolours. There are many pretty sights worth recording. Great for dog walking or jogging as well.

So pack your clubs and head for this par 73.5 course of 6197m, which is in striking contrast to the spectacular surrounding Mallee plains. We are the number 1 golf course on the Murray River. Our course is both beautiful and challenging, with a dramatic backdrop of river gums, artfully formed lakes and some very tricky signature holes that are endlessly discussed in the clubhouse.
Friendly staff and family atmosphere, however the advertised menu was not provided. This was Christmas Day $70 pp. Top of the menu was roasted pork leg with crackle. Not even close. Pork loin was not cooked with crackle, just frozen rubbish cooked separately and served on the side. Such a tiny amount it had gone within 20 minutes, should have been enough for everyone. Listed roast vegetables, no, no, no boiled potatoes and pumpkin. Tables being cleared and cleaned from 1.30 while people eating their meals, not very relaxing, just wanted everyone gone. Shame on the club for trying to hoodwink their own patrons. Total cost $140 plus $30 drinks for 2.

Andrew Peace wines is a family owned winery and vineyard located on the banks of the Murray River in PIangil 41km north of Swan Hill on the Murray Valley Highway. Cellar door sales and tastings are open on weekdays and Saturday afternoons. With great coffee and ample parking for caravans we also have a wonderful picnic area.
Made to feel unwelcome by lady at front of house. Not sure if this is her usual position but needs to develop more people skills if she is. Disappointing as wine was good and bought a couple of bottles. However got out quickly as we didn't want to intrude any longer.

There are three screens within the cinema and they offer up to date movie releases. Popcorn and snacks are available. Check their website before purchasing tickets as they're usually a couple of dollars cheaper online (but then have an Internet booking fee of $1). And if you want a particular special, ask for it. An example is Date Night of a Thursday after 5pm....$11 for two tickets at the office. But you will be charged full price unless you request it. Would be nice if staff actually offered you the special so that customers are aware of what they can save.
