Staff are very friendly and helpfully. Prices are very good if compared with Lech for example or any other around.

Skiing has been celebrated at the White Ring for over 60 years and the legendary race of the same name has been taking place for 11 years. For winter sports enthusiasts the White Ring presents a sporting challenge with about 22 km of skiing pistes, 5,500 m of difference in altitude and a sightseeing tour with viewing platforms.
Have done this a few times and always try and do it again when in Lech. The new lifts over from St Anton make it possible to do this if staying there as well.
Highlights are always the views and also the ski routes - if your a normal on piste skier they can give you some good challenging moments but still pretty well groomed.
Low point is the polling ... some of the runs are dubiously connected!

One of the more popular ski resorts in the Tirols.
No question - St Anton is not a place for beginners or even lower intermediate skiers. The runs can be challenging. However, it is fabulous if you are a competent skier. With the new Flexenbahn lift you can easily move across a broad range of slopes from town to town - through the areas of Zurs, Lech and all the way to Warth. Each has its own personality. Views are dramatic throughout the ski area. There is a wide range of places to eat with well-made Austrian specialties. In March we never experienced more than about 5 minutes wait at lifts. One of the best places to ski which had the least crowds was on the Albonagrat. Be sure to ski over to Lech and take the Rufikopf gondola to a long blue run that feels like you are on top of the world. One warning - the long 100 run to the base of the Flexenbahn has steep pitches, a lot of skiers and can get bumpy. The town has a nice Main Street with a good range of restaurants and bars.

Are you looking for a restaurant with a snug and cosy atmoshere? TONI'S EINKEHR is the right spot. Just beside the ski-run - a perfect meeting place. Wether for lunch with your skigroup, for apres ski (Friday live band), or a romantic dinner with fondue, racelette or austrian specialities. We also organise your privat party.
Sunny spot for apes ski when the sun goes down at the end o the day. It is up a hill on yhe side of a piste so gets sun a little longer than the bars at the bottom.

Sonnenkopf ski area is located in Dalaas/Wald/Klostertal where a cable car takes you to the summit - altitude 2.300 m. Sonnenkopf is one of the very few ski areas where they don't use snow
cannons. We did a great ski-tour with skins. Sonnenkopf can be highly recommended as there normally is good snow also in late spring because of its altitude.

I have visited Lech for many years and the skiing is superb with a snow-sure record due to the altitude and the charming village itself. There are a variety of ski areas, mostly suited to intermediates although for the expert and adventurous there is an enormous off-piste area which require a local guide. For me it is the perfect combination of good skiing, lovely setting and great hotels and shops all combining to make for a memorable holiday.

YOUR specialist for comfortable transfer services in and to Lech, Zurs, Stuben, St. Christoph & St. Anton am Arlberg. Zurich Airport bus transfer, VIP limousine service, golf tours, day tours, etc.
We have been travelling to the Arlberg region annually for 31 years, always from Zurich airport.
When we first started going, we took the Arlberg Express bus from the airport right to our hotel doorstep (and return). The service was always reliable, efficient and good value.
After several years, I started renting a car at the airport but found that it lay idle for 2 weeks and frankly, I did not enjoy the drive so much (especially in bad weather).
In recent years, I arrange a limousine with this company every year for the two-way transfer.
Each time, the driver meets us in the terminal, takes our bags and drives us (and tons of luggage) in an extremely comfortable and immaculate R-Class Mercedes to our hotel, no matter what the weather conditions are like. Similarly, we return to the airport at the end of our vacation. Punctuality has been 100%.
On one occasion, we even used this company to drive us to Cortina for one week (from ZRH) and then from there back to Lech.
We have watched this company grow over three decades and must admit that they run a first class operation with outstanding service.
They deserve kudos and a big tip of the hat.

I've been coming to Lech for years to ski. Strolz is convenient to my hotel so I always rent my skis/boots here. Between this year and last, they demolished the old ski rental building and erected a new flashy store which was completely unecessary, in my view. It is very large and blingy to please their new money clientele, I guess, but hasn't got sufficient staff, all of which I don't care for. I just want to get fitted for boots/skis and get out. The old shop was perfectly nice and a lot more conducive to a smooth quick rental experience.
This year, after a very long wait I got paired with an overly opinionated boot fitter (Christian) who was insistent on what boot I should have (Dalbello). It was incredibly painful after a day of skiing that I had to come back to the Strolz ski rental emporium/monstrosity and spend more of my vacation time getting re-fitted for new ski boots. Markus helped me with the new boots (Head) which were much more comfortable.
Bottom line- Plan to spend a lot of time here getting fitted for boots/skis and insist on getting ski equipment that feels good to you. Not what certain Strolz employees want you to have.
