We were here as part of my boyfriends 50th gift. We thought we would treat ourselves to 1873 Lounge VIP hospitality. We phoned ahead to say we would be late as stuck in roadworks all the way from South to North (6 hours) they said no problem at all. We arrived only one course late so was not to bad. It was well worth waiting for. The menu was Starter..Coronation chicken terrine, baby leaf salad and coriander naan bread. Main..Steak and gold ale pie, wholegrain mustard mash and veg. Pudding.. Manchester tart whipped cream and raspberries. The food was excellent and the waiting staff fantastic they really work hard. We have done this a couple of times as a treat to ourselves and never been disappointed and you sit on a big table with people you dont know but by the end of the evening you are best friends it is such a laugh. You also get a padded seat to watch the rugby and dont have to walk far to get there. Then there is coffee and tea at half time. Definitely worth the extra money.

I always try to find something positive in a review, nothing here. Food....awful. Staff, too busy to redeem the situation, as we were told the management were not available. I suspect they were dealing with other complaints as we waited for over an hour for them visit us! We actually were so disappointed and annoyed that we wrote to their head office. We are still waiting for a response. We wrote during August 2017.
Starters: dry and burned but still served, main courses: only one served then waited forty minutes for the second. There were only two of us dining!
Avoid at all costs!

Went on the 6th Dec for a midweek meeting. Booked the Premier Lounge. Fantastic view of the course. Nice venue not very busy so no hassle getting a drink . Ordered food which was good. Only down side was no book makers up there so having to go down three flights of stairs for a bet was a pain. There is a Tote so could have used that. All in all well worth the money. Not sure what a weekend meeting would be like thought.

What a fantastic Panto. Great little theatre and comfortable Seating. Loved every minute of the panto, the cast were amazing and so were the musicians and all the stage hands for a faultless performance, all the actors were getting everyone involved, even got the wife on stage. Kids loved it and the 3D effects were just fab. We've been going to this theatre for a few years now and this panto was the best.

Inglenook Farm has a cosy Farmhouse cafe serving great value, fresh British food made from locally sourced ingredients. The second Sunday in each month you can enjoy our renowned artisan market, packed with over 50 stalls of hand made, award winning local produce. There are small artisan businesses on site. Keep the kids entertained meeting our friendly animals from our Shetland ponies to peacock! Inglenook Farm is most importantly the home of Essencia Oils. We grow organic lavender & chamomile, which we distill & bottle on site to create unique Essential Oils. We have a wide range of pure essential oils, herb creams and personal care products plus hand made soaps in our shop. From May - July see our lavender in full bloom and feel free to walk amongst it. You can also enjoy aromatherapy treatments & massages with ReNu Therapies.
Had a lovely breakfast here with a friend on a cold wintery morning. The staff were friendly and accommodating, bearing with patience what, in hindsight, was a bizarre requests from me for Dairylea on my toast.
We were a little disappointed to find that the cafe did not serve crumpets as we had gone out specifically to eat crumpets but the tea and toast and teacakes we had were delicious.

Have attended this place on a regular basis for several years. The latest visit was to see T'Pau which was another success. The evening was not spoiled by some parts of the audience being too boisterous during the act but Ms Decker soon sorted them out. Pity the security guards weren't on hand to sort it out though. The venue may not be as extensive or lavish as some theatres or arenas but it wins hands down for intimacy. The lack of a full band on stage are not missed and the acoustic sets are not lacking in quality and impact. I understand that I missed a fantastic Livewire performance. I will return to see another quality act soon.

The Victorians created super parks and this is a lovely park to enjoy the lake and greenery.
TIP: search out the old quarry for a sunken garden experience ..... it's tucked away but well worth it. And climb the short hill (mound) for a Panorama into the distance

This place is more than just a museum......watch out for the event days!. I attended the Jaguar Cars day last weekend which was an excellent addition to the annual roster with some lovely examples on display. The main attractions are always being changed around to some extent so a revisit is well worth the effort. You can still climb abroad some of the old buses which does bring back memories and they always have a couple running for free trips as well. Check the opening times which is usually weekends only!.
