Touring in Japan using public transport can be challenging. Buses don't often have Western numerals! Writing a destination down, unlike you can use Japanese characters, is going to be no good. We were four and we took a taxi. The taxi driver drove us there, waited, and drove us back to Ugata station. Bicycle is the answer.

I visited Shima Spain Village, Parque Espana with some friends in September 2015. It's a really nice park with some great rides. Don't miss Pyrenees, it's amazing! Gran Montseratt is really good fun too. There's a Christmas themed dark ride too which I enjoyed. Don't miss the dark ride, Batalla del Alcatar, it's great!
The park has a museum feel to it, or a cultural theme park, the entrance is lined with little gift shops and cafes which were really nice, when we visited there were costume characters too. Great fun, worth the drive from Osaka.

The highlights of this small aquarium are the penguins, the pearl diver demonstration, and the big sunfish (Manbou). I would recommend this place for families with elementary school aged children. It is a small aquarium so it will only take an hour or so to visit.

There are hundreds of things to do in Kashikojima, so it is well worth visiting. Here are some of the things I would recommend:
-pearl-shopping
-eating deep-fried breaded oysters (カキフライ)
-Shima Marineland Aquarium
-Spain Mura
-Himawari no Yu Onsen at Spain Mura
-beach day at Kou Shirahama
-Esperanza Ago Bay Cruise

Have just arrived; run down, deserted, depressing. Hard to believe that it can be busy and have clear waters. Is like a Carl Pilkington Special. Maybe the first westerner visitor!

The lighthouse is at the tip of a small fishing village. From the car park, walk a little uphill for about 5 min, past some local shops selling seafood, pearls etc. It offers a good panoramic view of the sea and bay across.

Amanoiwato is some distance from Ise-shrine.
Driving a car along Isuzu river, you can find "Amanoiwatoguchi", its entrance.
It's described as the place where Amaterasu-ōmikami, the god of the sun, hid.
As the episode indicated, there is some kind of mythological atmosphere.
The fresh water from the spring is chosen as the 100 best waters in Japan.
You might feel something spiritual.
