Probably my new favorite neighborhood! Loved the relaxed vibes and the tons of vintage shops around. If you love vintage clothes shopping and a really lovely neighborhood, visit this place!

I went just a few days ago. There were lots of people just taking pictures and enjoying the whole scenario. The autumn colours were great, very photogenic. A very well spent afternoon. And you can also buy the little cats and leave it next to the others for good luck.

We live a 10 minute drive away, so Kinuta Park is our default choice when we want to go for a picnic or a stroll. By train it's only 15 minutes to Yoga station from Shibuya and then a 15-20 minute walk. It's probably similar size to the more well known Yoyogi park, but with a lot less tourists and more locals. Cherry blossom season the park will be very busy, but it's big enough that you will find a spot to enjoy your hanami party. There are lots of sporting grounds and a cycle path, a bird watching area, and tulip Gardens in the spring. There are loud announcements with classical music every once in a while, so don't be startled if you happen to sit near one of the speakers. Do note that the Tomei expressway passes right next to the park, so you will hear traffic noise if you are on the south side. There is a large pay parking lot on the north side and some street parking along the south side.

This is a hiden treasure. Out of the Tokyo centre, this is a must see performance for all music fans and also for nonmusic fans.
We sat in the middle three sets of strin (silk threads) stretched across the room, so it was like sitting in a giant string instrument when they played. At the beginning it was hard to believe the are not doing it a playback. I guess they have came across this doubt before, because on practical demonstration they showed us how it works. Because it was only 4 of us spectators present, we all got play that instrument as well. It is surprisingly easy!
The performance lasted about an hour, including well known classical pieces as well as Kazue's own compositions.
If you cant find any concert dates here on TripAdvisor or their website, write directly to Kazue asking when you would like to come, she will get to you.

Easy to find.
Great trains and excellent taxis.
Clean fresh and tidy.
Great plants and shrubs and greenery around the stadiums.
Went for a international soccer tournament. Wonderfull international food festival at the same time.
2 small fields and one main stadium.
A 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops for lunch .
Tokyo weather in April May is rather like Melbourne........4 seasons in a day.
NSW boys team played teams from Tokyo, PRC, Jakarta,boca juniors, palmerias, Berlin, Moscow.

This is well worth taking time out to visit. A wonderful oasis of peace and calm away form the hustle and bustle of Tokyo...A peaceful haven complete with temple...bit difficult to find car park...but stick with it..itw worth it.

Birth place of one ot Tokyo’s oldest tree (more than 700 years old), the Joshinji Temple or Jōshin-ji was first established in 1678 in Kuhonbutsu (a few meters away from the Kuhonbutsu Station in Tokyo) and home of the three Buddha Halls which are just in front of the main Hall, house of three of the nine Amida (Amitabha) Buddha. Each of these tall statues shows a different hand position, aslo known as Mudra, which are of symbolic meaning in the esoteric Buddhism.
These Buddha Statues are the craftwork of the great master Kaseki Shonin (1617-1694) who devoted his life at 18 years old until he reach 51 years old to create nine different manifestation of the Amida Buddha.

Although Futako-tamagawa is loved by the nickname of "Futako" from ancient times, it is called "Nikotama" these days.
Although it was a town in the quiet suburbs only with Takashimaya, after a Rise shopping center starts business three years ago, it is being crowded with the shopper.
Since many shoppers come by a car from the suburbs further, severe traffic congestion occurs during the weekend.

The park was in a beautiful spot, close to the river, a teahouse, nice walking paths and more. My daughter loved playing on all the kids rides here. I would recommend it for families...
