There is a lovely walk from the car park by the little museum (which was closed when we visited) up to the foot of this towering rock, where there are archaeological remains. Views are stunning and extensive. Lots of photo opportunities. Much less touristy than around Roque Nublo.

The Thalasso Gloria San Agustin centre at Gloria Palace San Agustin Thalasso & Hotel was opened in 1998. Equipped with the latest technological advances, it is one of the world's most modern centres, with more than 7000 m² given over to relaxation and comfort. This extensive area is entirely involved in health, with a total of four seawater pools, including the dynamic pool, gym pool and the large Get in Shape Pool, which consists of a relaxing circuit of seawater heated to different temperatures (33ºC/37ºC) with 33 hydromassage points. This was the first large installation to open on the island of Gran Canaria specifically to provide services using seawater. It went on to become the largest thalassotherapy centre not only in the Island but also in Europe, constituting a model for the development of further facilities.
Such a wonderful stay! Thank you to all the staff, especially Yonathan who made me feel so welcomed and treated me so well! Can't wait to return! A holiday of treasured memories

We provide week-long tours plus daily ride outs for motorcyclists on holiday in Gran Canaria. We have devised a number of excellent motorcycle routes which will please the more experienced rider who is looking for a challenge in the Mountains and on the hairpins. These rides are not for a novice rider! Take the hassle out of motorcycle hire and just arrive and ride with us on our own Honda bikes, including our 3 new NC750x. On our popular week long tours, we cater for those riders looking for more than the odd ride out. We can also accommodate motorcyclists looking for a full motorcycling holiday which can include a day Island hop over to Tenerife. Our tours include hotel, breakfast, fuel, bike & insurance, we can also provide jackets, helmets and gloves. Our 2 week - 4 Island Tour visits GC, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. We appreciate that travelling unfamiliar roads can seem daunting, so we guide you through your tour and ensure you enjoy yourself, have fun and stay safe.
Our complete experience with Martin & Joy has been faultless. From the initial email correspondence with Joy to the ride through Gran Canaria has been a complete pleasure. Martins knowledge of the island is superb, we travelled some fantastic roads & stopped at some beautiful places to eat and have a drink. The bike we rode (wifey as pillion) was well maintained & a joy to ride. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would ride with them again.
They are a very friendly & sociable couple too, easy to get on with.
The mountain roads are definitely for the more experienced rider & not for the feint hearted to get the most out of them.
Well done Martin & Joy, you've got it right!!
We'll be back :-)

One of the most significant Churches in Gran Canaria, the Basilica sits on La Virgen del Pino Plaza and makes an impressive and picturesque impression as you approach along Calle Real.
It was constructed in the eighteenth Century, although there have been Churches on the site for hundreds of years.
I visited mid-morning and, although not busy with visitors, there were several locals quietly praying.

Dive center in Gran Canaria. Just 3 minutes from the most important diving sites of the island. We have our own boat to perform all the available island dives. We speak castellano, french, english and german.
I found this Dive Center on Google where I saw only good and honest reviews. It's clear that Yann has a lot of passion doing what he does and takes it to another level to attend people. He answered my emails right away and was...MoreThank you very much Fernanda. It was a great pleasure to dive with you...and to meet the girl. big kiss. Yann

Overlooking stunning views over the Mountains and Valleys of central Gran Canaria lies this little museum. Entrance is free but the enthusiastic owner/guide pleads very nicely for a contribution for the upkeep. There are information leaflets in many different languages with nice descriptions of the 7 caves; bedrooms, kitchen, workplace, garden, a small crafts exibition etc. All of them nicely made up to depict the life of the 20th century cave dwellers of the area. Some seats and a bird cage with different canaries makes a welcoming place to spend a few minutes watching the play of sun and shadow over the valley in front of you.

We enjoyed a little tour of what is Europe's only coffee plantation and processor. What a treat! The delightful tour was capped off with the tasting of 3 wines and the house coffee. Educational, enjoyable even our 4-year old had himself a very good time.
Amazing location nestled amongst the Valleys. Brilliant for the crops that do not do well in direct sunlight.
The vineyard produces an impressive selection of wines.

The numerable tees on the course will speed up play and offer players of all levels a challenging and entertaining game. Anfi Tauro Golf provides an idyllic visual backdrop to a privileged coastal setting, where you can enjoy an impeccably maintained course which hosted the Spanish PGA Championship in 2008. Set in acres of lush green Gardens with rich vegetation, lakes and Waterfalls and enclosed by impressive volcano shaped Mountains - The remarkable location is one of the atributes that makes Anfi Tauro Golf course unique.
To start with the poor side, we were playing over five hours to complete a round of golf, just because on that Sunday many players were on the course, flights getting slow.
Now the good things: Great, spectacular views, fairways, bunkers, greens, all in very good condition. Some stunning holes are really challenging, require precise shots. The weather was also great as well as my flight partners - as we were put together when registering for playing.
The pro shop is also well equipped.

Jet Ski Safari in Gran Canaria, discover the island and enjoy this mandatory activity
We've booked the 60 min tour with my girlfriend. None of us had any previous experience with jet skiing but it turned out to be really easy. I suggest watching one or two jet skiing tutorials on YouTube to understand the controls but even that...MoreDear Tomás, we are glad you enjoyed it, your comment will be very useful for future customers.
