The 2016 Easter special menu was excellent. It started with a herring Sandwich ("Sillamacka"). That is herring, potatoes, sour cream, red onion, chive and creamy brown butter served on a dark rye bread. This was absolutely an excellent starter.
The main course was of course lamb, in this case lamb marinated with garlic and herbs, with creamy potato gratin, Rosemary and thyme gravy, served with fresh, perfectly boiled vegetables. Again, this could not be better! A perfect Easter lamb.
The Easter menu had chocolate cake, but we went for the Dulcey - rhubarb - strawberry desert. That is Dulcey chocolate sorbet with rhubarb compote, strawberry ganache, rhubarb pâte de Fruit, thin slices of nougatine and macadamia, black chocolate “earth” and dulcey “snow”. Wow! What a dessert!
The portions were just right, not too big or too small. Even with a full house, we got the full attention of the waitress.
Overall a very good Easter meal; probably the best we have had at this restaurant.

Excellent food. Super service. Good wine recommendations. This is the 5th restaurant I am visiting in Ängelholm. Should be rated No 1 in town!

I went to Sweden on business for the 1st time to be assessed by my new employer. I spent the day being grilled by everybody in the company, and at lunch I was taken out by the CEO and two senior executives. Everybody was scared of the CEO (he's actuallly quite famous in certain business circles).
The one thing I had not been interrogated about was my dietary choice. I am a veggie (not common in Sweden apparently).
Well, this restuarant serves food made from high quality ingredients, but at lunch there was not a huge choice - two dishes (no veggie option). I dont know whether it was a macho business thing going on here but one choice was North Sea Cod (the restaurant is right on the coast - its beautiful), an endangered species at the time due to over fishing, and the other choice was veal!
Normally, I stand my ground over the veggie thing but in this circumstance I asked what was recommended, Cod they said. I didnt eat any of it, just the veg, but at the time I was being asked loads of questions by the guys I was with, and not given the chance to eat anyway, so managed to finish my meal with my principles intact (more or less).
Having said that, it did look excellent, the setting was brilliant, and of course I found the name of the place a real hoot too (although I kept that one to myself).
I'd probably go again if I wasnt veggie.

We had the legendary fish soup, which was excellent. One of us had a fish for main and the rest of us tried different meats. Everything was tasty and in reasonable sizes. After having dinner there, we went back the next day for lunch. They served a grilled salmon and a buffé. That was not quite as wonderful, though the buffé offered plenty of tasty side dishes that we enjoyed. And, I might add, the price of the lunch was not as high as it could have been. For great food - go there for dinner. For good food at a great price - go there for lunch.

Pepelino is situated in the middle of the Town by the central Square. It´s popular for their cheap and good food. In summertime you can sit outside to.

I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion.
Ängelholm has changed much since 1962 when I first vacationed here, but one thing never changes: the warm welcome, Skånska-style, you get around town. And in particular, at Hummerhuset. It was late when we had lunch there with our friend Sven and his wife, but the food came quickly, it was copious and tasty. That's a place where we would like to go back and try other items on the menu.

One of the more authentic indian food in Angelholm. A great dining experience with Indian decor, to transport you to India.
Only setback will be the spiciness.. the food has been modified to suit the European palate and thus even the spiciest dish is considered mild. Even so, the spices and all definitely make it worthwhile to go.
Perfect place for a date..

The place is popular so it is often crowded but if you find a set - grab it! The girls start very early to prepare everything and most is made in-house. The bread with shrimps, salmon or meat-balls are georgious! And that old house makes it feel like you are visiting your granny's home and she is breweing you a really good cup of coffee while preparing your meal. Enjoy!

Our main purpose for our visit here was to watch a Swedish Pro Hockey game. They had a lot of TVs and a drop down big screen which was great!! The beer (Carlsberg) was great! We ordered garlic bread app that was good. Typical garlic toast with aioli spread. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The burger was dry. The fries were crispy. Definitely nothing worth writing home about!

We shared a wide variety of vietnamese dishes at the restaurant. All were equisite and offered different flavours. They tasted authentic, unlike the cuisine served at many other swedish-asian restaurants. Recommend this to anyone interested in eating "real" vietnamese food.
