The Marina was built a few years ago with such high hopes... that never materialized. It is on the site of the old pier where locals used to go and fish. Now, the area has silted up and the shops are nearly all empty. A real pity indeed and very sad for those who remember what it used to be like.

Molto semplice all'esterno, ha bellissimi dipinti e mosaici all'interno.

Piazza Rovelli was where we went each morning for coffee and croissant. It's also where we bought the most delicious meats and cheeses and bread and tomatoes for our lunches, and where we purchased pasta and olives and olive oil to take him with us. We almost returned there for dinner but opted for a restaurant just off the Square. It's also where we met one of the few people in Rodi who spoke English and he gave us great advice for a day trip. We visited in mid April well before the season gets going and as two Americans with no Italian language skills we stuck out like sore thumbs! After just a few days though we were passing people we had met and saying "ciao!" on the street. Rodi is beautiful, quaint, friendly, small town old Italy and sophisticated at the same time. I would love to return for a solid week when the weather is warmer and the sea swimmable. Bella Piazza Rovelli, Bella Rodi!

A safe harbour right in the heart of the Gargano National Park, which provides an ideal base for sailing along some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Puglia. It can also give you special access to the lovely Tremiti archipelago, to Croatia, and to neighbouring Greece. This is what the Rodi Garganico Marina has to offer.
It is a newly re-made area in the village of Rodi and it looks really charming. Watching the sunset from the shore is really nice, after having walked the steep streets of the village. This part of Gargano is less touristy and more authentic therefore.
