What a beautiful walk around the island. The vista are beautiful and the walk varies from concrete to a pebbled walkway to beach sand. The lighthouse provides a perfect photo opportunity as the waves crash against the black rocks. The island is a sanctuary for Shearwater bird colonies. We were very lucky to see a group of wallabies. We were very excited with this find!!!! The Beaches are beautiful.....ENJOY you hike!!!!

We loved Griffiths Island, during the day for a walk and in the evening the watch the return of the Shearwaters to their nests. A lovely little walk around a coastal island.

Whalebone gallery is a co-operative gallery in Port Fairy, a small coastal village at the end of the Great Ocean Road. The gallery is run by its artist members and features examples of some of the finest work of this region. The artists work in a variety of media including paint, ink, textiles, glass, photography and jewellery.
Loved looking,if I hadn't already spent on a previous art buy, I would have bought a beautiful glass bowl, expensive? Not for such exquisite work. There is a wonderful lady (name escapes me) who takes photographs-her neice takes the part of red riding hood in...MoreThanks for the wonderful comments. We love having the opportunity to present works by talented local artists. The photographer you mention is Berit Hampel. Her photos always have a surreal, magical quality which has been recognised and awarded internationally. We are very proud of her!

Any one who's ever been to Port Fairy knows a visit is not complete without strolling through the boutiques and galleries, LUONE is no exception. The picturesque store/workshop showcases the beautiful jewellery made by the owner/silversmith herself. Customer service is nothing short of exceptional and if you could take just one thing home with you from your visit to Port Fairy...a stunning piece of unique jewellery is the perfect option. Thank you, I'm very happy with my ring and am always proud to let people know where it came from :)

Looked forward to getting up close and personal with the windmills You could see them from some distance on the road. Followed the road signs only to get there and find a viewing platform miles away from the windmills/farm. Disappointed. Don't even bother stopping. Its not worth it.

Wine was reasonably priced, thin based pizza (gluten free available), Good choice of toppings and they were served fairly promptly considering the crowd, we were happy!!We're glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for spending dome time with us!
