Wife and I had breakfast twice and dinner here, and the food quality was excellent. Food selections, while a bit limited, were well chosen and reflected local seafoods and fresh vegetables, in addition to wonderful breakfast choices. The service was slow at times, but this is not the place for rushing- just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to this place for a number of years now and I love being here. If you’re looking for a Starbucks kind of place don’t come here. But if you’re looking for that cool university kind of vibe- I mean, interesting people, great coffee, free wifi and tasty food-this is definitely the place. The couch in the corner is worn but it’s my fav spot to sit and read and enjoy a latte (but you can use it when I’m not there). They also have Gluten Free bagels and bread so anyone can enjoy the food. They owners are so nice and make you feel at home.

My husband and I enjoyed a great meal at Joey's in early July and were impressed with the service and quality of our pasta dishes. The chicken Marsala was delicious and a side of fetuccine was a nice choice. The penne with sausage was flavourful and I would order this again in a heartbeat. We noticed the delicious looking pizzas delivered to the table close by and several people were picking up pizza for Takeout. The sangria was great and was served in a tall tumbler. For dessert we enjoyed the cheesecake sampler. The waitress was friendly and helpful and pleasant to chat with. We are looking forward to a return visit in September.

On one of the biggest traffic days of the year, there was only one cash open, garbages overflowing and a messy drink station. People were coming in the door, turning around and leaving because they were not willing to stand in a 10-12 people single file. From the time we arrived until the time we were able to sit down was a full 15-20 minutes.

Excellent family restaurant near the highway. Vegetarian choices available along with the usual sandwiches, meat dinners, seafood and breakfast items. Good prices and good sized portions. Service is efficient and quick. Lots of parking available. Easily accessible to all.

Mel's has been 'the spot' to eat & hang out since the late 50's for me. It hasn't changed much over the years; the food is great, service is good ,& staff always smiling & friendly. I guess the biggest change I have seen is now you can have a beer with your meal instead of just a Lime Ricky or Chapman's Iron Brew.

A must stop location bordering NB, NS, and PEI with incredible home style food, friendly down home service and outstanding fresh made daily desserts! Enjoy breakfast all day long!
Newly renovated but the same delicious meals. Good value for your money. Wide selection of meals (including a Seniors menu) with something for everyone. I had the Turkey dinner with all the trimmings — delicious. Everyone was happy and well satisfied with their choices. Always a favourite stop. Their chocolate cake with boiled icing is one of my all-time favourites.

It's a diner in a university town, so it isn't particularly nice and doesn't really need to be, either. The food was decent (I had the pulled pork), albeit a little on the small side, and I don't understand how they justify charging almost $5 for a small side of fries.

The Black Duck Cafe, in downtown Sackville, New Brunswick serves quality espresso, coffee and tea. We serve a healthy locally sourced menu often sourced from our courtyard garden. Breakfast and lunch are served daily from 7am. We are open everyday and are located just off of the Trans Canada Highway.
This is a nice, small spot with great and smiling service. There aren't that many tables but people are sure welcome to stay and linger. The coffee is very good. They also offer yummy baked goods. I had a granola square of some sort and it surpassed expectations. Well recommended.

Dedicated Gluten-Free & Vegetarian Restaurant, Bakery Cafe & Specialty Foods. All options are always gluten-free & vegetarian. Vegan options available. Two sunny outdoor patios. Now Licensed.
I discovered this amazing little cafe a few years ago and always stop in when I go to Sackville. Besides the vegetarian/vegan gluten free meals, the boutique offers other interesting items. Whenever I stop by, I always get the carrot cake. It's absolutely divine!
