It was great to visit Buller during summer to take in the differences from winter. The view is to die for and the 4x4 tracks leading from the top seem great fun. Cyclists certainly take advantage of the warmer weather with plenty riding both up, and down, Mt Buller Road. Take caution when driving to be mindful of cyclists enjoying the road as well. All in all Mt Buller is one of Australia's gems and can be enjoyed by all ages throughout Summer as well as Winter

If you are travelling to Mt Buller, you need to put the Australian Sled Dog Tour as #1 on your list of things to do. The price seems hefty but it is an amazing experience that you wont find on offer at many venues in...MoreThankyou for your kind words, we are pleased you enjoyed your experience with us and our team.

We did some hikes on Mount Stirling in December as part of our drive around Australia. We found the Craig’s hut from the Man From Snowy River, beautiful spot but definitely not suitable for actual farming needs. The sweeping vistas are unbelievable, the hikes are good but not too punishing, we have heard some of the best winter trails are up this way so we will have to come again in Australian “winter” to do the winter sports in the Land Down Under.

This is a well laid out, yet small, exhibition. At the rear you can walk out to a huge open balcony area and take some amazing photos. We stumbled upon the museum when we needed a break from the weather and appreciated the warm Seating and videos.

One of three All Terrain Cycles stores. Located in the Village Plaza in the heart of Australia's premier Alpine mountain bike riding destination. From this store we offer mountain bike hire, skills clinics, tours, retail sales, servicing, and local riding advice. This location opens seasonally from early December to end of April.
We went here twice. While the service overall was good, it was much better the second time. On that visit we haired the tandem bike to go down the rail trail. Before we went out they checked over the bike made sure we had a spare tube and pump as well as checking we knew what to do.
Even though you got the impression we weren't their target we still got good service and felt reasonable looked after.

About 10km’s past Craig’s Hut you will see a turnoff towards Bindaree Falls. Even though this part can be accessed by 2wd, a 4WD is recommended throughout this area.
From the car park here, it is only a 10 minute walk up the hill with steps,
The falls can also be reached via a 4WD track. From Craig’s Hut, keep driving towards Mount Stirling.
Turn left on to Monument Track which continues on to Circuit Road and finally turning right and then left to Bindaree Road and the carpark.
A little over 5km drive from the falls, is the Bindaree Hut campground.
Continue down Bindaree Road towards the Upper Howqua Campground. Make a sharp right once you hit the Upper Howqua Road and 1.5KM from there will get you to the campground.
Initially we did hear about the Bindaree Hut being a strange small hut, not much bigger than a cubby house and it’s true, it is very small compared to other in the area.

One may be forgiven for assuming that a snowshoe tramp to the summit is nothing much, but this is definitely one example where less is more - Oh so MUCH more!
The peace and serenity at the summit when the lifts have stopped working, all is quiet and you can just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. Watch the landscape turn from warm glow, to dusky violet hues, sipping on champagne and nibbling savory treats, soft conversation with that special someone by your side, then it's an EASY stroll down the hill, hand-in-hand.
Rozanne's organization is impeccable and her love for the simple things in nature is very obvious. This is not your talk, talk, talk tour. You will have lots of discrete opportunities and Rozanne is very sensitive to the fact that this is often a romantic outing.
If you have never been to Mount Buller before, then this is one activity not to be missed. Drop Rozanne a line.
If all you know of Mount Buller is ski or snowboard, or worse, just tramping around the place with naught else to do - then DEFINITELY drop Rozanne a line.
