Cellar from the 17th century has an authentic atmosphere of a family winery. You comes with original stone arches as well as historical tools and wine barrels, of which many are still in use. Rustic vaulted wine room decorated with Modra's ceramics, with original tiled stove, traditional local dishes, along with wines from its own vineyards. All this creates a unique charm of the true Small Carpathian winery. On a visit to Slovakia their Highness, the Prince and Princess of Japan did not miss to see our authentic cellar ...
This winery was a stop on our small Carpathian and wine tour. Very nice experience with a local wine family business. The owner allowed us to try several different wines and explained the history of the winery and provided a tour of the wine stores. Great for english speaking visitors as he spoke excellent English. The wines are delicious and many are specific just to this region. Highly recommend stopping here if you can.

Amazing castle located along Slovakia's wine route , remembering time when Slovaks and Hungarians lived in peace here. Plenty of great portraits of dead people who mattered, old furniture from different eras , fantastic empty cellars that are always really cold!. Impressive location on a high ridge gives great view of surrounding countryside.

Love the wine from KP. The 4 zivly is possibly my favorite wine in the universe! Great tasting room. Try to visit during otvorene pivnice!

Budmerice mansion is situated in a large park in Budmerice village close to Červený kameň castle. It is more beautiful from outside than inside. Ticket costs only 2 eur/person but do not expect much - nothing remained from the original decorations inside. I have to add that inside it is completely renovated (only white walls) - but as the mansion was robbed after the owners left it, so all paintings, furniture, porcelain and other decorations which you can see there today were brought from Červený kameň castle. Currently a TV serial is made here and several rooms of the mansion are part of scene. Available during the visit is ground floor and first floor. Tour was available only in Slovak language and I have to appreciate very nice tour guide who explained all the history of the mansion and its inhabitants.
I guess the castle is favorite for locals as at the time of our visit 4 wedding groups were taking pictures in the park :-)

We wanted to go wine tasting as part of our visit to Bratislava. There seemed to be one oragnised tour which was £73 or thereabouts. We felt this was a bit expensive and knew there was lots of smaller individual wine companies. We came across Fedor Malik simply by Googling and emailed to ask if we could visit. We didn't know exactly what day, so we (there was 2 of us) ended up just turning up and they kindly arranged an impromptu tasting for us - although they were about to have their lunch! It's a small and friendly experience, you sit in the family garden to start with (run by father and son) and then you walk around the cellars etc tasting. They had excellent English, which was great for us, as we really struggled to pick up any Slovakian words, apart from the very basic. We had a great experience and I would recommend it if you fancy something a bit different. Most of the wine is white. To get there, you need to get the bus from Bratislava main bus station - easy to walk to from the old town. Then you get the bus to Modra. It is about an hour and is 3 euros each way. The bus is pretty regular, although there seems to be a wee gap mid afternoon and we had to wait. I would suggest you get a map from the Tourist office when you arrive. They have a leaflet with all the different wine producers. It was a 10 minute walk from the centre of Modra. I would suggest taking a rucksack if you are planning on buying wine. We only bought two bottles as it was all we could carry!

We recently visited here in a stop-off as part of our private tour of the Carpathian countryside. We found it very interesting and the variety and beauty of the ceramics created here was excellent.

Even i'm not art lover but this wine park and museum is very exceptional thing. In one place you can have wine testing, fantastic food and see for example originals of Andy Warhol at least ones per year. Building is interesting by it self. Not that far from Bratislava or Trnava but so special. Surely i recommend.

The church is nice decorated with several altars. Except of the time of Holy Mass is usually closed. If you are lucky, you could enter and pray for the reason you feel and this place allow you to come closer to our Lord
