A gorgeous backdrop of pine-clad mountains looms behind the seaside resort of Marmaris in southwest Turkey. Popular as a cruise ship and yacht port and with the British budget holiday crowd, Marmaris offers an abundance of fast food restaurants, the restored castle of Suleyman the Magnificent and an appealing cobblestoned old quarter. Outside the busy town, coves and bays of the Datça Peninsula make lovely daytrip destinations for those traveling by boat.

Come to Marmaris and join our swimming with dolphins program for everyone. Our floating sea Dolphinarium is open all the year round. Session times are daily at 09:30, 11:30, 13:30, 15:30 and 17:00. Each session last about 40 minutes. Basically no advance reservation is required. In high season you should book on-site up to 3 days in advance due to high demand. Unfortunately we cannot accept Reservations by phone. The Dolphinarium is at the sea front, 200 meters away from the Hotels Grand Yazici Mares and Club Turban in Marmaris (3 km from Icmeler, 5 km from Marmaris Centre).
We took our kids to this in August 2017. In short, the loved it.
It was very well organised with a good and very comprehensive safety briefing beforehand.
The dolphins were incredibly well-trained and good-natured with some great routines with the kids. In particular, our kids loved the ride with the dolphins, where they pull the kids along.
Even when some members of our kids group weren't very confident with the dolphins, they still found a way to get some photos of them with the dolphins.
Speaking of photos, it's worth buying them. They're very close-up and it is a very rare experience.
I'd recommend.

Viewed from above on a jeep safari the views are stunning. Although some of the dirt tracks were a bit worrying the scenery was worth it. So much beautiful natural coastline with no building works or big resorts - lovely!

This beautiful marina is home to many yachts as well as restaurants, bars, a shopping complex and swimming pool.
We were in Rhodes and my original desire was to sail in Turkey. My wish came true. It is an easy ferry ride from Rhodes to the Port of Marmaris, Turkey. There are gorgeous boats there to enjoy as you stroll the waterfront. There is also great shopping. One lady in our group from Canada came well prepared with a spare suitcase. The water was beautiful. We did a swim sail with Strel Swim Group. Babaveli 7 was the Turkish Gulet we sailed. The Gulet was gorgeous, the food stupendous and the very best vacation of my life!

Best time to visit Dalyan stream , turtles beach and stone graves is autumn. It was a peaceful boat trip on the stream among the reed beat, observing rock tombs on the hillside and spend time walking carefuly on the beach sand not to harm baby turtles seats. It was an unforgettable trip you can never live in another place.

Drove to Dalyan by car for Marmaris and got a boat to ourselves for just over 200tl.
The boat was tidy and the captain very friendly.
The Lycian rock tombs are idyllic as you float past.
Plenty of wildlife to see (no turtles for us). We did see several kingfishers.
Turtle beach was good however I would strongly advise purchasing any food.
Whilst the food is reasonably priced and tasty you WILL be pestered by a plague of wasps. I binned my Sandwich as it wasn't worth a wasp sting.
It costs 1.5tl to access the beach by the way.
Good day out and glad we went
