By the end of the last century, Mr. Francisco Kelly , an Argentine citizen of irish descendance named his land Santa Susana as a homage to his wife, Susana Caffrey. The ranch is located in the district of Campana , Buenos Aires province, and near the town of Los Cardales. It actually occupies an area of 1200 Hectares (2965 acres) mainly dedicated to agricultural activities, and ,since around 24 years ago, it has also been exploites as a tourism resort, either at national or at international levels. We receive visitors Tuesday through Sunday every day of the year.
We made this trip with our tour guide and everything was organized nicely. When we arrived we were greeted with fresh empanadas and a glass of wine. We toured the ranch, original living quarters, and had horseback and carriage rides.
Lunch was served under the tents by the gauchos who were dressed to kill with their swords stuck in their backs. The salads were already on the tables and were very fresh and delicious. Some of the meat served were not the top quality, but when we asked for a tender piece, they obliged. It was a good experience to watch the gauchos show their skills on horse back drills

We enjoyed Estancia Mimosa while waiting for our flight home from Argentina. This was a cruise ship tour and there were five tour buses full of cruise ship tourists. That said, it never felt crowded at Estancia Mimosa. We were met by the ranch owner and his family who had baskets of warm empanadas. There were horses to ride and buggies to ride. Lunch was served in one of the large ranch building. Lots of beef, chicken, salads, wine and beer. This was great as our flight was not until 10:30 p.m.

This Plaza, in the middle of Capilla del Senor, is a wonderful examples of what villages Plazas used to be: shady, calm, people encountering eachother, people Reading newspapers and books on benches under the ancient trees.

Argentina is the home of polo. So, while you are in Buenos Aires, come and join us, for a polo day at El Retiro Polo Club. We are only 40 minutes from the city. We guarentee you'll never forget trying polo and you might just leave feeling like the king of Argentine polo, Cambiaso, Even if you´ve never tried polo before. Spend a day with us at our family, owned and run polo club, El Retiro Polo Club. Enjoy a watching a match, munching on empanadas, then join us in our family home for a traditional Argentine asado(BBQ)and wine, followed by a siesta by the pool. Then it's time to your grab your stick, mount your pony, stick and ball and pretend you are playing the Argentine Open at Palermo. Even if you have never sat on a horse before you are more than welcome to play polo with us.
Our stay got off to a flying start as we were picked up in a private car by a fully bilingual driver who whisked us off to the campo, about an hour out of central BA. On arrival we were welcomed by the family who made us feel right at home! The ponies were great, with something to suit all levels. Some in the group had never ridden before let alone played polo but its safe to say that everyone got the most out of it! Marcos, the owner and polo teacher extrodinaire, had wonderful stories about his days playing in Palermo. He is an extremely funny man and his charming wife Cristina truly is the hostess with the mostess as we say in the UK! The facilities are perfect, very comfortable bedrooms, beautiful swimming pool set in the glorious park that surrounds the family home. I could have stayed for much longer and will definitely return! A big thank you to everyone at El Retiro for the wonderful time my friends and I had with you! I will be recommending you to everyone!!

Our polo day at La Mora focuses on the main factors involved in polo - horses being the primary aspect, followed by the importance of the equipment and organisation of the sport. We adjust the teaching to your level - incorporating lessons and practice as necessary in order to give you the best experience possible. Not to mention the lifestyle experience of spending the day at the farm and enjoying a traditional argentine asado and the great relaxed atmosphere. Situated just 60km from Buenos Aires in Los Cardales, La Mora provides a perfect base for our polo day - functioning as a polo pony breeding and training centre as well as polo club. Facilities include numerous stables, three full size pitches, an exercise track and arena - everything needed for a great polo establishment. 54 stables and numerous corrals and fields.
I absolutely LOVED La Mora Polo Day Experience! Great place, amazing food, beautiful horses and lots of fun playing polo. It's a very challenging sport, but with the right guidance it turns out to be a wonderful experience. Can't wait to do it again. Thank you very much to everyone at La Mora, you guys rock.

This Church is the third one in this spot, erected by the Irish Community in the 1800s. It has beautiful art work and a selection of trompe d'oeil altars which look as if made of marble. It is a huge church for a smallish community.
