Very friendly Dutch speaking lady. They need a few leaflets in English (or Dutch) though. We couldn't join the competition because it was in French.Hello Kimmarivoet, Thanks for you message, we shall transmit it to Sabine (Dutch speaking lady). We take note of your ideas and comments about documentation in English/Dutch. Hope to see you again ! Friendly Communication Service, Corbier Tourism

The OPINEL "Museum" is housed in the former cutlery works of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. The forge, which has kept its stamps and hammer, houses an exhibition tracing the history of the famous Savoyard knife of the OPINEL family; a video visit allows visitors to safely view the current factory and all the different manufacturing steps involved.
Took a tour (while the new museum was still under construction) and met two generations of the Opinel family, who were very fun! Bought knives here for all of the men in my family and graciously was given one myself as a gift from the Rotarians of St. Jean de Maurienne, which I carry in my car and is excellent for French-inspired picnic baskets. It was fascinating to learn the history and see the old machinery, and by the way, ALL the men in my family LOVED their gifts. A great day trip, especially for knife lovers.

Been there with family (including a 7 year-old kid) and friends last February. Great place for mountain ski: the resort offers several trails, especially blues and reds, including some blacks. I really like the european concept: ski is a sport so, you take care of yourself and decide if that specific trail isn't too red for your skills!! The trails are beautiful, especially when the sun shines on the Alps. Also, the resort offers some interesting amenities for refreshment after hours of skiing. Hope to be back soon.

a fun walk for your family with lamas, discovering the beautiful Mountains of Valloire (Savoie), in winter and in summer. free for little children, who will walk handing their lama : they will surprise you !
Very happy to have come back to Valloire in winter to do another hike with Gilles and his llamas. Gilles was cheerful as always, explaining the needs of the llamas patiently to the children (of whom he immediately knew the names) and making the adults very happy with his picknick of local cheeses, charcuterie and of course wine. His English is excellent, so surely to be recommended for an international public as well.

This isn't too bad as a ski area, but they seemed to have stopped investing about 20 years ago. I have never seen so many drag lifts. They are eveyrwhere. they use them to link Le Crbier to La Toussuire which are the two main resorts in the circuit. The chairlifts are also quite old for the most part and deathly slow. There isn't a single gondola or cable car anywhere I could find. The skiing is generally easy. Lots of Blues and Reds that are not difficult and a couple of easy Blacks. Unfortunately no off piste Easter week 2016 due to the warm weather and lack of fresh snow.

Village of character in the heart of the High Mountain, Saint Sorlin d'Arves has a snow quality in an exceptional setting. Enjoy both traditional architecture, all the shops and services of a real ski resort and the highest slopes in the Sybelles ski area. Facing the Aiguilles d'Arves, at the foot of Col de la Croix de Fer and the Etendard Glacier, Saint Sorlin d'Arves, change of scenery.
Weak English, Little paraphenalia, lacking comprehensive knowledge of attractions etc They were ok, but could have done much better

Of all the Cathedrals and churches I visited while in France, this is one of the most memorable because of the crypt in the basement. I got goosebumps touring this ancient area of the church, that may well be one of the oldest in Europe. Period. Absolutely a do not miss for anyone interested in history, especially the history of Christianity and Europe. The grounds were beautiful as well.

balade super sympa dans la station et de plus sur la neige ce qui donne un peu de piquant car il faut être très modéré avec l'engin , cependant l'instructeur est là aux petits soins donc no problème même pour les novices du segway.
